Parker Slide Converter for Vector, Frontier, 45, IM, Beta, Jotter Fountain Pens, 3-Count

These are Parker products and probably your only option for a converter with the Quik only type of refill pens .The converter filled up all the way after 3 draws and clears.Writes very well and allows you to use different colors and better quality inks.Works better than I expected and I would definitely recommend these to Parker pen users.

The Parker Slide Converter for Vector seems to be of good quality. It is a very good replacement for the converter that I was using for more than 10 years - in the past year or more, it had become increasingly difficult to move the slide pump (it seemed to be sticking to the sides), and the suction cup inside finally broke off from the plunger early this month. Luckily I was in the process of ordering a few things via Amazon. So I found a pack of three slide converters at a reasonable price. And, voila! My smooth writing and trusty Parker Vector is once again back in action.

For some reason, I got confused and didn't read that this was a slide converter. It makes it a little fiddly to fill with a consistent speed. What that means for me is that I can draw to fast and pull bubbles into the converter. I also like to purge the air by filling the converter, turning the pen up and expel the air, then continue filling. With the slide converter, turning it up and pushing to expel the air is hard to control and I too often get a squirtgun of ink. So, I don't do that, but that means I can't quite fill the converter. Still, they work fine and fit the Jotter pens beautifully.

These are converters that work well in many Parker pens. The price is very good on these. I prefer the standard converters that twist but they are more expensive. These will work fine.

While these converters appear to be "the same" as my 20+ year old UK made Parker slide converter, the plastics used are different and the cartridge interface doesn't grip the corresponding part inside my US and French made Parkers from the 1960s-1990s (I don't have any newer pens to test them with, but the Parker cartridge format hasn't changed AFAIK). The loose fit may cause ink leaks, poor ink flow, or even the pen section falling off of the converter into your ink bottle, while filling. Not recommended :(

So nice to have a genuine Parker convertable product that does not cost $9.40 like the other Parker product. When I really read what was on the sides of my Parker pen box I was surprised and pleased to see that Parker was commissioned by Elizabeth II R and The Prince of Wales. It is a very beautiful pen and the converter makes life a lot easier.

Might look cheap compared to old rubber and steel units but work perfectly
