Use it or lose it
There is a lot to love about this book, starting with the fact that it's large print, and just easy enough to not be discouraging to someone who doesn't do the NY Times crossword puzzle on a regular basis(or at all). I don't do Sudoku, but I might start. There are wordsearch puzzles which I love, Word Jumbles which tax might brain mightily, and trivia questions, which I mostly couldn't get. I read one review that said this book was too easy--hah! Guess I need to get off my horse and start studying more. Good news is, keeping my brain sharp won't be as difficult as a genius' might be.I found this book fun to have on the coffee table where I work on it when my husband wants me to join him for a sporting event on tv(I only watch if there are horses involved). There are books in this series for kids that would better than the electronics our kids are currently addicted to. It's a nice break from always doing this online.

Mom loves it
I got this puzzle book as a part gag gift (due to the title) and because she enjoys doing puzzles. This book uses large print which makes it easy for her to see. The puzzles are all appropriate themes - nothing dirty or 'adult' that could be offensive. The fact that the pages are thick is a plus as the pen and highlighter do not bleed through while working on puzzles. Very pleased with this line of puzzle books. Will be back again!

The exercises in this book will keep my brain sharp.
The brain exercises in this book will keep me mentally sharp as I age. Every piece of information in this book is fascinating to learn. Every crossword puzzle and word find puzzle is enjoyable to do. Every trivia fact is fun to read. I admire Jenny Patterson for researching and presenting this information in this book. I learned to play sudoku. This game is fun to play but challenging to complete. It is hard to find the numbers to fit each column, but I will not give up playing this game. The word search are great because they increase my knowledge in a particular subject. I found myself researching each new fact as I discovered them in a puzzle. I learned that the Tambo River is located in the part of Australia called Victoria. I learned that bromide is a chemical compound found in sea water, and that it can be used treat headaches and seizures. I also learned that Spain gave Florida to the United States in 1891. I also learned that dollar bills are made of cotton and linen. I really enjoy this book. I will take it out this book every time I need a mental pick me up.

WOW! YOU'LL LOVE THIS BOOK!
This complete puzzle book includes crosswords, sudoku, word searches, word jumbles, word fit and 62 trivia questions. What an impressive collection! If you get tired of doing one kind, you can go to another. There are 20 different kinds of puzzles. The crosswords average around 60 words per puzzle while the word search puzzles are all on interesting themes (think Dickens, Rivers, Shakespeare, Chemistry, Dogs, Vacations). The word jumbles have a list of around a half-dozen words to unscramble after which you use the numbered letters to form the answer to the sentence you are to complete. The word fit puzzles are like the ones I loved to do when I was a teenager where you fit the words into the framework provided. Lots of fun, but can be tricky sometimes, too. And then there is the trivia section, which no doubt will challenge you to come up with answers you thought you'd forgotten long ago. At least they were for me. (Hint: you can look up some of the answers online if you don't want to peek at the answers in the back. I'll confess I did.) And of course everything is in large print, including the answers, making this oh so easy on the eyes.So here is a way to while away the time, whether you're traveling, or waiting somewhere, or just wanting something fun and interesting to do; while you do, you can be sure these puzzles will help keep your brain sharp and perhaps even teach you something new.ENJOY!!!

If you desire brain simulation DO NOT purchase this book!
As "seniors" we felt all portions of the book we're too simple, too easy, required no brain stimulation to solve. Very disappointing! Who ever wrote this obviously has no clue about older people!

A great book to share
I got this book because I know how important it is to "use it before I lose it". This refers of course to physical agility as well as mental agility. There is such great variety in this book that I can open it anywhere and find something fun. I like the word and letter based puzzles and my husband loves the number puzzles. Now if I can figure out a way to use this for my physical work out it would be the perfect book!

Crosswords are annoying. Do not buy!
The crossword puzzle clues are on a different page than the actual blank puzzle so you have to keep flipping back-and-forth. And I bought this for a friend and myself. I will not buy them again. 👎🏻I will return the one I did not write in. No one wants to keep flipping back-and-forth when you’re doing a crossword puzzle.

I definitely recommend this puzzle book for seniors!!
I ordered this puzzle book and was amazed at the scope as well as the variety of the material. There are puzzles of all types and I look forward to working on them. If you get hung up the answers are in the back of the book. As a senior I need all the help I can get!!!

Horrible layout
This is supposed to be for seniors? The layout is horrible...for anyone but especially for seniors. The clues for a puzzle are on the left side page, and the puzzle itself is on the PREVIOUS page! So you have to keep flipping back to get to the puzzle. This isn't useful for anyone. Rest of the book looked ok...good size print and nice variety.

Layout issues
Seriously - crossword puzzles where the clues and squares are on opposite sides *of the same page*?! Someone didn't consider layout very carefully (see photos) That renders the first 42 pages annoying, to say the least. The size of typeface is good. There's an assumption made that everyone knows how to do sudoku, but that's easily enough solved with an online search.Overall the book could be a lot of fun if I wasn't so annoyed at the layout of the crosswords.
