Review: Interesting, educational, and fun! - My 9-year-old is interested in film making, so I purchased this as a Christmas gift. I skimmed through it before wrapping and thought it was pretty neat. It explains so many types of animation and has fun projects to go with the different types. Definitely worth it if you have a child who is interested in this sort of thing. Review: Great First Time Animator's Guide for Kids - Bought this for a teacher who teachers animation to younger students. She found the projects and information in this book useful and neat.

Sparks imagination, engages kids in projects
I used this book like a textbook of activities for my five and seven year old as we began our first unit of homeschooling. My children were inspired and interested by the written content and photos. The concepts were easy for the kids to comprehend. This lead to a full month of creating stop motion projects. Im sure well be inspired and busy for months to come.

Poor quality content.
I bought this book for my 8yr daughter who is quite keen on animation and movie design, but found that the content of the book was far too little considering the price tag, one can get a good quality encyclopedia with this price. The only good thing I found in this book are random mention of some of the tools and gadgets which help in animation movie making, but there is no elaboration on usage and functionality of those tools The book is tiny and thin and one can get far better quality animation ideas by watching YouTube videos. This is waste of money , recommend not to buy this book.
