Your first step on the path to total bone health An osteoporosis diagnosis can feel like a debilitating life sentenceโone that leaves you feeling stuck with a future of prescription drugs that only might keep the condition from worsening. Mira Calton, CN and Jayson Calton, PhD have discovered a better way to prevent and even reverse the disease through the power of micronutrient therapy. The secret to building strong bones lies in the right combination of micronutrientsโthe vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, and amino acids in the foods we eat and supplements we take. In Rebuild Your Bones , the Caltons reveal how our dietary, lifestyle, and even supplementation routines may be depleting these essential micronutrients, and share the 40 healing habits scientifically proven to build stronger bones. They also provide an easy-to-follow plan to reverse these effects, including recipes and meal plans, exercise advice, and supplement recommendations. If youโre looking for a pharmaceutical-free way to restore your bone health, look no furtherโthis is the definitive guide to safely and naturally stave off osteoporosis and reclaim your health. Review: This latest research is the most effective ! You can bet your life on it! - I bought this book and began the program immediately a few weeks ago, with the formulations this doctor team has formulated. I know that it will cure my osteoporosis, which has begun to cause compression fractures. It is my only hope of reversing the issue, since I had taken the awful toxic bisphosphonates drug years ago for a full 7 years with horrible adverse side effect: 2 molars had to be removed because necrosis of my jaw had made them loosen., my femurs were experiencing bone pain, and my toenails had turned dark. And recently at my spine specialists office, the respectable specialist actually scolded me for not taking those meds longer, for every year of my life, can you believe the words he said to me ?!!? How professional is that type of behavior on his part, to be so unempathetic. That mainstream BigPharma industry is simply a drug-pushing industry. They market drugs based on a Numbers Needed to Treat system: if only 5 test subjects out of 300 receive a small benefit, then the pharmaceutical corporation moves forward immediately to market the drug, regardless of the fact that only 295 received no greater bone density whatsoever, even after years of using the drugs, such as I did. IT is my great hope that many more people will read this wonderful wonderful research based on the latest of all research, and realize your osteoporosis will be reversed. You must be patient, of course, but just know that there is no 'magic bullet' for any health issue. It is about excellent nutrition, Drs. Calton and Calton's bone building mineral and vitamin formulas that are uniquely different than any other multi or calcium formula anywhere available to buy right now. Do it now! Get started right away! I am living proof that this latest science works. You don't even have to understand all of the science, but do know that these doctors have done all the homework for you, and made it in an easy-to-read format that you will abosrb gradually. Finish reading the entire book. But, before you do, please order their Nutrience AM/PM formula, as well as their Calcium Bone Mineral Density fornula, and don't skip their outstanding K2 (MK7) which removes the calcium buildup in your arteries so that it can be absorbed into your bones instead. Your bones are hunger for the Calcium Potassium Phosphate Citrate formula that is the only correct form of calcium that will actually absorb into the bones properly. Magnesium, as the doctors describe and prove fully, should NEVER be taken at the very same time as their Calcium formulations, since, as the doctors describe, those two minerals compete with each other to get inside your cells. Throw away your old bottles of Calcium Magnesium formulas because you most likely still have osteoporosis even though you have used that type for many years. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Calton and Calton. Now, everybody go to their website at CaltonNutrition.com and purchase! Review: Informative and interesting book - I purchased this book as well as the books by Dr. Keith McCormick and Dr. Lani Simpson, all dealing with osteoporosis. I would recommend the purchase of all three for the person who wants at least, to educate themself as to the options available to deal with bone erosion and fracture โ natural and medical drug options. The Caltons provide an apparently new natural approach to dealing with bone failure (as well as perhaps other body failures*), by providing a water soluble vitamin recommendation that is to be taken twice a day, alone, save for a protein powder that does not negate the effects of the vitamins, and a twice daily omega 3 capsule regime. The protein powder is part of the Calton recommendation to get in much more protein on a daily basis than most people consume. Dr. Lani Simpson while not addressing the cancellation of one supplement by another, does recommend many of the same supplements that the Caltonโs suggest and the need for adequate omega 3s. However, she is not producing a product with her mixture but the information in her book as well as the information in the McCormick and Calton books provide very valuable and helpful thoughts. Dr. McCormick also presents the need for additional supplements and does make available those additional supplements for purchase, his focus being both on sustainment of bone level at a natural level and its resistance to fracture. Impactive exercise is a common theme throughout the books. I recommend reading them all. I have been taking the Calton vitamins and a number of Dr. McCormickโs supplements not included in the Calton vitamins now for four months. I just received my biannual blood tests and they are much improved over the last set (except for my A1C which may be because I have been having so many protein shakes.) Nonetheless, I thank these people for causing this favorable shift. I wonโt know for awhile whether my bone density is improved. It seems that to get the Calton vitamins is very difficult. (They are often out of them for long periods of time.) Dr. McCormickโs vitamins are readily available and he will treat by telephone if you donโt live in his area and donโt want to try to self-treat having read his book or have your doctor/nutritionist treat you given his comments. Dr. Simpson is also available for appointments. In all events, I recommend those interested in the complexities of bone health to look to these three books for their edification. At a minimum, you will be helping your body following their advice and hopefully your bones will improve as well. I do agree that the Caltons tend to run their website and have written their book with a heavy marketing influence but their product does work it seems, and it is not unreasonably expensive. Further, there is thought provoking information to be considered in their presentations considering that the "cure" for osteoporosis is not entirely clear to our present-day professionals. And when I say "cure", I mean helping naturally as much as possible, the body to do what it was biologically programmed to do rather than introducing some pharmaceutical concoction with very fightening and disabilitating possibilites as side effects, to force the body to change as long as that foreign drug is present. * Dr. Jayson Calton had already established a reputation for treating other ailments before he began looking into bone health with his wife, Mira Calton.

Deep micronutrient lessons
This book contains in depth research into healthy foods, micronutrients and things to avoid in your diet and lifestyle. I learned so much from reading this book cover to cover and rereading certain chapters. I gave it a 4 star review instead of a five , because the information is all very valuable , but I feel that implementing all of this is out of the reach of most people. Purchasing the multi vitamin packs that they sell can get very expensive. But a person who wants to do this protocol is almost forced to buy their supplements/products because it's very difficult to find anything on the market that compares to what they offer and have researched. I will take too heart the information I have gained , but feel more frustrated than ever. I read a lot of books on general good health and anti aging and those protocols are not in step with the information in the book , Rebuild Your Bones. For example the Caltons want you to give up eating nuts, seeds and most fruits. Those are exactly the things that most other health gurus are having you incorporate in your diet. Because of the well-researched content in the book, I would recommend people read it But with the understanding that , for most people , it will be hard to achieve what is recommended.

Important information; a Must Read!
I read Micronutrient Miracle and when I saw they were selling this book, I preordered it immediately. Rebuild your bones has some overlap with Micronutrient Miracle, but not all. It contains more scientific information specifying exactly how antinutrients, everyday micronutrient depleters and other lifestyle habits affect bone building in the body. It is very easy to read, and fun to learn about how the body actually processes nutrients and builds bone. I love the science of this, helps me feel motivated to actually implement all of the advice of the book, since it tells me the WHY of it all. It's such an important read, the foundation of this book is based off rebuilding bones, but I feel this advice will help with other bodily issues and health as well, since everything is so interconnected. It teaches you how to read labels properly, be aware of what you're eating and how it affects your body, and gives you recommendations on how to prepare food so you can get the most out of it. Plus some of the facts are startling and a great wake up call, everyone should be on multivitamins, due to the nature of our soil - you can read more of that in the book ;). I love this book!!! I have been following the Micronutrient Miracle plan and have so far lost 10 pounds in a month and a half, without even exercising! Rebuild your bones adds more information and is serious about helping you be healthy and get healthy, strong, beautiful bones. I think it's so important to read, since prevention is so important. They make it easy to make lifestyle changes, give some really nice recipes and meal plans, and have a wonderful line of products. I feel like they really care about us. Also, if you don't want to read the book, do it for the coupons, getting $10 off nutreince is pretty nice :).

Enough value for my money.
There is plenty of valid nutritional information to make this purchase worthwhile for anyone who will spend the time reading critically, picking and choosing, and following through on improving their health. That said, the book is arguably written with the intention of getting the reader to buy multiple blood tests, nutrition products, and potentially other add-ons promoted throughout the book and on the authors' website. Reading the book is very much like reading a Direct Sales presentation. The live version is available on their website. I like that sources are named to back up the science. I took nutrition, chemistry, and statistics classes at UCDavis, so I can follow along fairly well. However, and because of my education and life experiences, the authors' very careful wording throughout the book with "may", "likely", and "other bits of bad news" gives me pause. For example, on page 13, after listing six facts, the following paragraph starts out, "Those are some pretty frightening statistics." The book is written in conversational style with lots of "if you remember", "surprising, right?", "did you catch that?" and many other questions and phrases to keep you engaged in the conversation as they are driving it. The reader must take time to question what they are reading and remind themselves they want improvement in BMD, and don't necessarily need to follow all the suggestions and recommendations of the authors to achieve positive results. Additionally, the reader can take the Rebuild your Bones Micronutrient Suffiency Quiz on pages 50-53 (also available for free online on the authors' website) to get a sense of how much value the authors put on the products they sell. For example, 100 points if you take their vitamins regularily, and no points if you take another brand of vitamins. I can read beyond the sales pitch. I bought the book to learn how I might rebuild my bones. Prior to writing this review I have skimmed through the book, jumping around, and carefully read chapters 1 and 2 along with the list of Forty Healing Habits that have been clinically proven to prevent and reverse bone loss on pages 224-225. I have also gone on the website to get an idea of the coaching, tests, and products that are being promoted within the book. For me, the book is well worth the time and money for the current science. In fact, I read a few things about micronutrients in the book and then went online and confirmed the validity of the statements on trusted medical sites. It is important to note that on page 4 of the book, the authors state, "we knew that only a DEXA scan, the common test given to measure bone mineral density (BMD), would give us proof that she (Mira) was healing." I have not seen a reference to a DEXA scan other than that on page 4. That's ok. I would think that anyone considering purchasing this book for themselves has had at least one DEXA scan and wants to improve their BMD. I agree with the authors that the information in this book can be helpful and the reader simply has to act on their own beliefs and take consistent actions to improve their BMD. How many of the Forty Healing Habits you choose is an individual choice. The authors are clear that exercise is a must to improve bone density. Exercise, along with making science based decisions on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices can be done without buying products from the authors. As stated at the beginning, the book as enough value on its own to be considered by readers who are willing to be very critical as they read. Three stars. That's a C. Satisfactory, meets my requirements for gaining some knowledge so I can improve my BMD. I simply would prefer less sales pitch, fewer rhetorical questions, and a lot less use of fear as an emotional trigger. My first DEXA scan five years ago triggered me to learn about osteoporosis and take some action. My most recent DEXA scan showed all six numbers as being higher (better BMD) than five years ago. I see this book as an additional source of information, and I expect my numbers will be even higher (even better BMD) on the next test because of my efforts. I may not follow the 12 week program in the book, but I will give credit to the authors for providing some valuable information that should help me improve my BMD. That's the reason I bought the book, so in that sense I understand why some readers give the book five stars.

Book full of knowledge, encouragement and hope!
Finally a book of hope! A diagnosis of osteoporosis is devastating, and the prognosis from most medical doctors is disheartening. This book is full of encouragement and information coming from the Caltonsโ personal experience and research...and heart. I disagree wholeheartedly with a previous review that they โpushโ their products. In fact, they go into detail on how to choose, and safely use, products of your choice if so desired. I am personally grateful that the Caltons offer products that are proven to be successful, and they continue to perfect. I am also grateful for the time and energy they have put into every detail of this book...from explaining the importance of micronutrients, to recipes, to giving an email address where they personally answer questions and concerns. Itโs obvious that their mission is to help eradicate osteoporosis!

This book was recommended by Dr. Terry Wahls
I have to agree with other reviewers; The book and the free couch videos can seem like a strong sales pitch. However, I take the information in the book very seriously because my nutrition hero, Dr. Terry Wahls, endorses it. I have already used this book to organize and to time my supplement taking so that one pill will no longer be competing with and cancelling the effectiveness of another. This book requires careful reading and a lot of note taking. There is so much information that I have not run across before. I'm a trim and fit paleo eater anyway, so how did I end up with Osteoporosis? I can't tolerate lactose. I am now overcoming that obstacle and doing exercises geared toward stimulating bone growth. I'm taking good quality supplements in the most effective way possible. For those reasons, the book is certainly worth buying.

totally disappointed
I ordered this book to gain more knowledge about osteoporosis. I just finished reading it, and threw it in the trash - not even going to give it to Goodwill. I feel a lot of the information is incorrect - it goes on and on about what foods not to eat or to be aware of such as greens, wheat and a lot of other things that I question. At the end, it gives you recipes which include pork and other things that I don't think are good for anyone. It also highly recommends their products to use and in their recipes, most all of them call for their products to be included. I think it is mainly an advertisement for their products - totally disappointed. I rely on Amazon reviewers before I buy anything. For the most part, I am always pleased as I follow the reviews in buying. However, this one was a mistake but considering the enormous amount of shopping I do on Amazon, it is okay. Just wanted to give my opinion if it might help someone.

Full of useful, well researched information
I bought this book because I'm interested in proactively stopping osteoporosis - a disease that has crippled my mother. The book is written by medical professionals and the "protocol" has been proven to work. I already follow a keto way of eating and this book promotes this as a way of strengthening bone health but goes a step further through vitamin/mineral supplementation. It will be come my "go to" health book! Love it!

This book reads like a sales pitch
I was disappointed by this book. While the book does contain some valuable nutritional information, most of the recipes are for the author's nutritional products. Some of the studies/research cited seem anecdotal which is further reinforced by the use of vague language when presenting such.

Itโs okay
Has a few useful bits of information but it reads like a constant advert for their products which is off putting.
