Working great
I was skeptical on it because I bought it for my cattle. I have Scottish Highlanders so feeding them in an actual round bale feeder does not work. This has the bigger holes in it than a normal horse round bale net. by using this I gained an extra week on feeding a round bale 90% less waste. I’ve had it about nine months no issues they haven’t chewed holes in it and have not gotten stuck in their horns. I train them two months to eat a round bale through the twine first and then introduced the net worked great ..

Better than the cheaper brand!
Ordered another, cheaper hay net and it shrank when it got wet and am no longer able to fit it over a round bale. This one is better quality than the cheap one. You get what you pay for!

Wishing I Hadn't Spent The Money
As a rancher in North Texas who has been trying to make a $150 round hay bale stretch, I saw an article online that touted the effectiveness of this "TEXAS HAY NET". There are 2 sizes available and I chose the one with large spaces designed for cattle. Followed the instructions, wrapped the bale and my cows weren't able to pull any of the hay out. The bale sat uneaten and we eventually had to push the round bale over to get the net out from under the edge so we could remove it. No option to return used. No use for it now. $200+ wasted.

Hay nets
I have a small herd of cows. I bought these hay nets to help prevent hay waste. I was skeptical due to the reviews I read but wanted to make my own opinion. My first thought was that they are so light the cows would chew right through but to my surprise I still do not have a hole in them. My hay is not blowing out of the feeder for the cows to stomp on either. I'm very happy cause they are easy to use also!

WOW needed these years ago
I am not sure about durability or value for money until we see how long they last. But right now... they deserve a FIVE BIG TIME! I look out every day to see how much hay the bull and two cows have wasted. Can't even begin to see any at all. Now I don't have to listen to Dan lecture the cows on waste!! Love the nets!

will not buy again
I like that it slowed down consumption, and there is less waste.I bought it in a drought thinking I would have to feed hay in the summer. We got a good rain which postponed me needing to put hay out.The first bale I put it on, i waited 3 days to go check. It had 3 large holes in it already. It did help to reduce consumption, but after a month of use it is absolutely irreparable, and I am somewhat concerned with the safety of the horses and cows.(even with the polypipe ring on it also)there are 3 horses 1 cow and a calf using this net, and it is destroyed.

Doesn’t work
It’s way bigger than a 4x4 bale so it doesn’t get tight enough and all the hay that falls to the bottom just piles in the excess... I couldn’t get it off what was left because the hay in the bottom was so heavy and my goat got stuck in the netting...the whole experience was 10 times more work and it didn’t cut down on the waste at all
