This is an amazing umbrella and walking stick. Well made. Worth the money!

I’ve had this a while and just saw I never reviewed it. I have liked it very much. I think for what it is, it was a bargain. It’s very substantial.

I bought this for its combination use and to test its potential as a self defense tool. I'm aware that the cane is not marketed for self defense, I just wanted to see if it would hold up. So that's not part of my star review, I'm just answering the question for like-minded people. I believe that the cane would work for maybe 1 or 2 hard strikes and would be effective as a jabbing implement, but it's certainly not something that will stand up to on-going collisions. The metal, though sturdy, feels hollow and is only about 3/4ths of an inch in diameter.The overall umbrella got 4 stars, for a simple design flaw. You have to open the umbrella, to hit the release button to withdraw the cane. So, you have to undo the Velcro, unwind the umbrella, open it, hit the button, and then withdraw the cane. This is an inconvenient design. The push button is at little risk of being hit by mistake, and if it were higher up in the handle, it would make withdrawing much easier.Overall, a solid investment.

I carry this umbrella/cane with me all of the time. I have had so many people admire it and finally gave my first one to a good friend who said it was exactly what he needed. My second one has been a treasure and I keep it in my car whenever I leave home or carry it with me on flights away from home. I periodically have bouts of vertigo and it is a wonderful assist for walking when I am slightly dizzy. I can best describe it as feeling as though I have an "extra foot" on the ground! I could have given at least five of them away to people who inquired about this handy helper! I have also used it separately or singly to shield me from rain, sun and sometimes, wind. Great combo invention! Love it!

It works well as a cane. Quality is a little lacking. Still lasted longer than other umbrellas I have owned.Cons: the fabric at the metal tips is unraveling, and the metal band near the handle popped off almost immediately. Neither of these as effected the general operation.

I use it at work because it looks like it's just an umbrella and when I'm off work and it starts to rain. I use umbrella part of and still have my canine to use as well, Great invention, wish I'd thought of it myself.

I love this umbrella! It's sturdy and solid. I depend on it every time it rains. The original model is a bit awkward to use, so now I'm eyeing the updated model- basically just waiting for enough reviews to jump.For the price of an inexpensive umbrella and cane bought separately, you can have (good quality) both at once!

100% Legal in all states.Every Fencer should have one.It's a lot better then a knife or sword cane and the Umbrella is also good for defense.
