A little heavy but fantastic for outdoor mobility
This Vive Folding Rollator Walker is a little heavy at 20lbs but it's fantastic for outdoor mobility. It arrives well packed and almost completely assembled. All you have to do is snap in two wheels and attach the walker bag to completely assemble. I was super impressed at the size and quality of the wheels, as well as the fit and finish of the walker. So this walker has 4 wheels (two of which rotate 360 degrees for great maneuverability), hand brakes, a mesh seat, a back rest, adjustable hand grip height, and a detachable walker bag to hold your belongings. It can be folded up fairly easily for transport by pulling up on a strap in the center of the seat. The two front legs can be folded up, also, and the front wheels can be removed for compact storage. The wheels are oversized and designed for all-terrain use. It weighs 20lbs so it's a bit heavier than some rollators but it also adds stability, which is good when using the walker on rough or uneven terrain.I got this for a friend who has had about half of one foot amputated but must return to work before the wound is completely healed. She has a special boot but I noticed that she was still somewhat unbalanced when walking - especially on gravel or grass. This is perfect for her. She takes the bus to work and this makes it much easier going from the bus stop and back. The wheels roll easily over all sorts of surfaces and the hand brakes work very well. She also finds the seat to be comfortable and a welcome place to sit while waiting for the bus. Our only complaint was that we can't figure out how to attach the walker bag. It has velcro straps but no instructions as to where to attach them.I think this is an excellent walker for someone who is strong enough to manage the 20lbs when necessary and for someone who needs to use a walker outdoors. My friend is young and can easily manage to fold this walker up and take it on the bus with her. If you just need one for indoor use, there are lighter rollators which will serve well.

This guy is great!
I love this walker! It's very sturdy and well built. The wheels roll smoothly over door sills, rough ground and cracks in sidewalks. I have balance difficulties and a walker that stops cold because of a change in walking surface, like a raised piece of pavement in a sidewalk, is likely to throw me off balance and cause a fall. The wheels are quiet, soft rubber and grippy. I love that! The brakes stop the walker solidly. Although like any walker, you can still move the whole walker when the brakes are on, there's much more resistance than with the ordinary, most popular walkers with the lift-up seats, and the wheels themselves don't move. I'm MUCH more confident with this walker than the old Medline walker. The one that everyone has. This walker is a little heavier, but folds much flatter and smaller, which is great in restaurants, where "parking space" is usually nonexistent.. It can fold to roughly the size and shape of an umbrella stroller, although it's heavier. This is so worth the money spent on it! I've had it a short time and people stop me to ask me about it all the time. It's a beast! In a good way. One thing I'd like to note. I live on the High Plains and the wind here is extreme. Chicago's got nothing on us! I was crossing a wide street in a high wind and felt my old walker sliding from under my hands. The wheels are hard plastic and I felt in danger of losing my balance because they were skidding on the pavement. This walker would never do that. The softer rubber grips the walking surface. I feel 100% safer with this walker and that means everything if your walking is compromised. The only thing I've had trouble with, after 2 years, is a wheel that keeps coming off. Replacement bolt and washers is $20, including shipping, which is absurd. Disappointing but we'll suck it up and buy it. It's still a great little walker.

As solid as any walker I've seen, and much more compact
As solid as any walker I've seen, and much more compact. Large wheels means it handles uneven surfaces better than walkers with small wheels. That said, like all walkers I have seen, the max height on the handles is 31 inches, which is pretty low.The carry bag hangs on the front and is easy on - easy off, which is convenient, but could lead to it coming off when you don't want it to. It's similar to other walkers and I don't know why none of these add just a slightly bigger lip to keep the bag in place.

EXCELLENT equipment, for a very reasonable price
I can hardly say enough good things about the design of this outside walker. It folds up practically with the use of a pinkie as the nylon seat has a flat handle in the middle and all you do is lift it, and the walker folds so flat. In addition, (I am an 82-year old woman) I had no problem lifting it off the garage floor to put it on the floor of the legroom of the back seat. From there I just lightly pushed it over so that it fell the length of the legroom there. It could probably have stayed upright. At the destination again I reversed the process and had the thing standing and unfolded to its active form, and walked all over 'Central Market in Austin, with my upright shopping bag on the seat and manage to walk upright to avoid back pains. In addition, its cheery color (mine is red) was so uplifting. I can recommend this 100% to anyone who may have balance problems, or who may have to sit from time to time as it has double brakes, one set to just slow down on a slight hill perhaps, the other to lock it if one needs to sit.
