TEMPORAL ARTERY THERMOMETER TAT-2000C SCAN, Digital display

This is the second thermometer of this type I have bought in 15 years. The first was good, but we lost it in a move. Very accurate.

I work as a receptionist for an Operating Room & our Nurses always find this model reliable, quick, easy, kid friendly.I have bought one for my own home & LOVE it!

The first one I compared it to a hospital one made by the same company Exergen! I had that one from 2005 till recently I was finally having problems with it. I had bought it for my grandma originally! Lol My baby gets uti's cuz of health issues and her temperature spikes up out of nowhere and my old one wasn't giving me the correct temperature vs an oral one I just bought for back up. This one is works great. I compared it with my oral thermometer and the hospital one again and it was reading as closely to that both! I love it so I can check her temperature fast and easy so that she won't be bothered by it. (She's not 2 yet so getting a temperature is not easy especially at a young age!!!) So yes to me this was worth buying! Hope it last as long which was about 16 or 17 years! If it doesn't not lastlonger than a year rewrite my review!

This works great once you figure out how to use it, which is not as obvious as I thought it would be. I kept getting stuck in memory mode and the instructions are not helpful to get out, once I figured out it needs to be off before placing it on the forehead to take a reading. I love it now but was very close to returning it because when you have a sick screaming child it is very frustrating to not know how to make the thermometer work. Also a weird angle for taking a temp on your self but does work accurately once your able to take a reading.

This thermometer is very accurate & quite easy to euse!! Can even take my 20 month granddaughter's temp without waking her up. This is the only thermometer you should buy....

We were gifted one for our oldest and needed to replace after many years. We made the mistake of falling for the hype of multi-mode and new features and tried alllll the new ones, including Baby Frida.None of them gave the same reading twice even if taken back to back.Never had an issue with Exergen so we bought another and it has been just as fantastic as our 2015 was.Don't waste your time and money on the other popular brands. When your kid is sick, you need a reliable reading.

This was purchased 2 years ago. I decided to be proactive and replace the battery. Couldn't open the back following the instructions. I tried using pliers and that wasn't good enough. It was then clamped to a table and a small flat blade screw driver inserted to pry the cover off. The cost? the nice shiny white cover is marred due to needing to use inappropriate force.You know when you can find a video online about the problem, it's a problem.

This is the second exergen we have purchased. The first died after 9 years of use. I will admit that I do have to take a few scans each time I use it, as naturally with the way this works, the temp will vary because of user variability. Overall it is accurate and best of all, no need to wake kids to get their temp. This is also quiet so it won't wake kids in the process.
