I was pleasantly surprised by this mattress. We have always been Cal king people and when we lost everything in the Camp Fire, I really didn't think we would be able to find an affordable option to replace our bed. We discovered Nest Bedding and fell in love but the price was not something we were able to accommodate considering our current state of replacing EVERYTHING. Another problem my husband and I were coming across is that we were not able to agree on firmness levels of mattresses, he wanted softer and I wanted firmer. The fact that this mattress comes with options really was intriguing.The mattress arrived within the delivery window given at time of purchase, it came in a compact box that I was able to maneuver by myself after drop off. It was pretty easy to unpack and set up. Although once set up in our teeny tiny room I realized the seriousness of what I was getting into. This mattress is no joke, it's 10 inches of depth packs a punch in weight and durability. Also since we have become "new furniture" experts I want to throw in that this mattress didn't come with any weird smells. A lot of new furniture can smell like plastic or chemically, this did not!The first night we slept on the firm side, and found it to not quite be the compromise that we needed. So I flipped it over (or should I say wrestled with it for a bit again our room is teeny tiny) the next morning and we have been happy every since. The medium side is perfect for both of us!Another feature that I really like is the cooling gel foam. Memory foam has always been an issue for me because to me it felt like sleeping on plastic, It would make me sweat. I do not have that issue with the Nest bed.Overall, I was surprised by the quality of this mattress and am really glad I found it!

I can only assume that you are reading this review to help decide if this is the right mattress for you. So I will be as objective and honest as I can be. My height is 6’ and weight 235 lbs. which is pretty evenly distributed, the wife is getting a little rounder at 5’-2” (weight is classified). We purchased this because of the price. Over time it seems it doesn’t really matter how much we spend on a mattress, it will ultimately sag and without the ability to actually flip many of them, it can happen sooner.Yes our king size was heavy when it arrived but no heavier than any other and not as heavy as some. We followed the instructions and let the mattress inflate and breathe overnight. There were no strong odd smells other than an odor one would expect from a factory product.We started with the softer side up and used a 4 inch dual layer mattress topper. After 10 days we found it to be too soft and flipped to the firm side. This proved to be better with the topper and after a few days of testing we agree that we are able to sleep comfortably.The medium side is soft medium. With the topper is was too soft for me. Even without the topper it was a little softer than I wanted but I could use it. Which is useful when it comes time to flip the mattress – note that it can be flipped and rotated which is a really good thing to prolong the life of it.The firm side is firm but I would say medium in the firm range, not like sleeping on a park bench. It does conform to your body. The topper helps to hug you a little bit more but still provide some firmness. Without the topper it would be too firm on some of my pressure points.So in conclusion, at $499 I think it is a fantastic deal and definitely a good product. Even it does not last for the next 5 years, at that price it’s better than the $1800 mattress that I’m replacing after 5 years. So if you want a medium to firm mattress, I think this will do it. If this is for a guest room it is a really good price point. Remember if it is too firm you can always use a foam, or other topper to soften it. You can soften a hard mattress but you can’t harden a soft one. Good Luck

My wife and I love this bed! After being on our last bed for 4 years, we decided that it was a time for a change. We made the right decision when moving forward with this model!It arrived super quickly, tightly rolled up and wrapped in a durable plastic. it weighed about 95lbs, so I was able to move the box by myself. When we brought it in we pulled the wrap off and it immediately expanded to it's full form! The materials used are super high quality. From the moment the mattress expanded we could tell that we would love this purchase. The durable fabric stands up to pets and is still soft to the touch! At first we tried out the firm side for a few nights, but after about a week swapped to the medium side and found that it was much better suited for our preferences.Now to the important part, I SLEEP LIKE A ROCK! Being a side/back sleeper, I've always had a tough time finding a comfortable mattress that I could relax on, but this bed feels like it was made for me! It also has great support right up to the very edge. My wife and two dogs take up the majority of the mattress at night, but this one has no problem keeping me comfortable no matter how much space I am allotted.With all of this said, I can't recommend this mattress enough! From here forward, we are a Nest Bedding customer for life!

My husband and I wanted a King size bed to accommodate our growing family (newborn baby). We came across Nest Bedding. I was intrigued by the double sided design for firm and medium. I figured we could test out and placed the order. The bed came in less than a week and we were ready to try out each side. Much to my surprise, the bed was very comfortable and large enough for the three of us to sprawl out on. The cooling gel support foam was a plus especially since my husband and child are hot blooded sleepers. I definitely recommend this bed and may make future purchases!
