Heck yeah!
I use this to drive 3/4” nail stakes through predrilled railroad ties or coated rebar for retaining walls. Life got really easy. These retaining walls are not much higher than 30” but they are stiff and hold well. Depending on the height I put them every few feet. Any higher I recommend a footer and a poured retaining wall with tie backs. Haven’t thought of using this for a more cost effective tie back spike.

Great product
I purchased this ground rod driver for my Dewalt hammer drill. It performed flawlessly when driving in three 4ft ground rods. Its strong design will provide me with many more uses. Simply works.

We used this to drive 7 eight foot ground rods and it worked just fine. It depends on the type of electric hammer you use as to how fast it will drive the rod.

Way bigger than what we ordered.
We ordered a 3/8” rod driver and what we received was way bigger than what we needed.

Broke and came close to getting impaled - don't buy this - get the Bosch unit instead.
The media could not be loaded. I have had this for about for over a year, using it with my Dewalt SDS-Max hammer drill driving in 5/8"ground rods.I drove in 5 rods in 2015, and in August 2016 was putting in 14 more. August 15, 2016 on rod #11, the driving head just snapped off and I came very close to impaling myself on that ground rod since I was over it. It was close - just barely caught my balance for that hammer is heavy. Could have been killed or seriously injured. I learned a lesson from that - make sure you are always in balance and can handle the tool simply breaking on you.I have attached pictures of the broken driver next to the Bosch unit. The rust was me leaving that broken bit outside all August and September - was going to throw it away when I was cleaning up in early Oct but decided to save it and show folks how it is a 2-piece design, how it snapped at the press join spot of the two pieces, and how the Bosch is a single piece forged and thicker metal walls.Based on other reviews I needed up getting the Bosch unit: Bosch HS1924 TE 54 Ground Rod Adapter SDS Max What a difference - one piece forged and you can simply tell it is a better design. Basically same price. I love the Bosch driver.Normally I like Dewalt stuff - but this bit is simply a bad design. Before it broke - sure - it worked fine and if you have never used a hammer drill and ground rod shank - you are in for a treat on how easy they push rods in. I attached a video of my 13yr old son driving in a NEC 250.52(A)(5) ground rod showing how easy it is. But this shank - in my opinion - it is not a safe tool - and there are better alternatives for the same price.

It's not what it seems?
Purchased this back in Nov. 2019. I just got around using it to drive (2) two- 5/8"x 8ft ground rods for an electrical service. Drove the first rod with no issues. During the driving of the second rod the sleeve around the shaft slide back so there was no support around the drive pin connected to the drill and slides off the rod. Looked and the sleeve is just slide on a tapered shaft with no welding what so ever? I don't know if it's a design flaw or junk assembly? I thought i was getting a quality tool being it was a DEWALT Product? Only reason for one star is the Price Point of what I paid for this. $21.00 or so. I can't return due to return policy time window has closed. Buyers be aware of this product if your purchasing. Not sure if anyone else has this same issue? I will update review if anything has been solved in the future.

Broke right away.
Broke immediately. It's actually two pieces and the collar slid down the shaft. Don't buy it, get a different brand that's one piece. Luckily there were other drivers in stock nearby that I drove from site to buy. Big expensive let down. Very disappointing.
