How to save $50-70 dollars on this purchase.STEP 1. DO NOT BUYSTEP 2. Do it old school by hand that works 100% more effective than this.Now to the review. I've been doing drywall for years and though umm why not try this. Big mistake. Why is it a mistake this thing weighs a ton. So its too heavy for practical use. Its big and bulky so its a no go for small closet or small spaces. You definitely would not use it for small patches. So what about the big jobs nope. it does not evenly dispense the mud which defeats the purpose. So you are better off applying a thin layer with a 4 inch puddy knife. You can also use a 6 inch puddy knife if you feel you won't coat the joint evenly. using a 4 inch gives you the exact amount you need to apply the tape. I'm not going to go into taping or what kind of tape to use because if you are even thinking about buying this you need to know how to tape all ready. Do not think this will save you time or money. It will do the opposite. It will WASTE YOUR TIME AND COST YOU MONEY. if you really want to know the best use for this cut off the part that is supposed to cut the tape or leave the cap on it and use use it to hold your tools or spare tape. If you read this I just saved you some serious money so if possible just give me a thumbs up so I know i helped someone else today.

Works good but..
Works fine but didn't know there was a difference between a wet tape banjo and a dry tape banjo. The wet tape banjo is messy if you are expecting the dry tape banjo.

Great product. Lousy directions.
Great built machine. There were cheaper ones but this name brand builds good stuff so I got this one. However no directions for loading tapeSo is trial and error. With some YouTube thrown in. But we got figured out and works well.Biggest thing is getting mud mixed correctly, and experimenting with ways to run tape through.

Not worth it
It didn't mudd the tape right and it end up with air underneath the tape had to fix up the tape after my second coat.
