Thexton THE432 Universal Thread Gauge

This would be my third set...My first set got lost.My second set got damaged when I-don't-know-what fell on it and dented the 1.25mm thread pitch edge.This is the downside of having them made out of aluminum (sheet).Trying to pound and flatten it out just made it worse.So, I just bit the bullet and ordered another set.That's the good thing about these things: they are reasonably priced!This set makes quick work of confirming what sized fasteners and thread pitch!

easy to use

I have used this style of thread gauge for a long time, It's a must for sorting bolts in bulk. They are aluminum however with a little care they will last, I haven't had any problem with the threads becoming inoperable. I highly recommend these for any shop.

I had trouble seeing the writing, so I used crayon and heat to color in the stamped numbers. Perfect!I used a different color for each of the four gauges.Probably spray paint and sandpaper could work as well.Note: these are very thin and soft, so best to keep the included package and treat with care, as with any precision tool.There are drill information charts included - very useful.Also made in the USA!Obviously not useful for blind threaded holes, or tight spaces.Although they take some care to use (like most thread gauges) so far, these gauges have been 100% accurate.

Very handy, just wish it was a little thicker. This is my second set. I needed it for my new shop. The old set will stay in the garage. Now I won't have to keep going back and forth between the the two.

My coworker had a set of these sitting on his toolbox one day, and I happened to pick them up and start measuring random bolts on a table next to it. Pretty easy to use. I like how they are flat and take up very little space. I use them quite a bit.

These are made of a mild grade aluminum. They do cover a wide variety of hole & thread sizes. Most of the normal hardware & household sizes are covered. Very small hobby sizes are not.The design makes it easy to evaluate any screw or bolt you may run across. However, these will not help you gauge inside threads on a tapped hole or nut.I was a little disappointed with the gauge of the aluminum, as I don't expect these will take much abuse, and will need to be stored in a protective pouch. They are very light weight, and overall, I am happy with the value.

It makes of a fast reference, when dealing constantly with metric bolts...and sometimes nuts. Size and pitch readings of those bolts minimizes inaccuracies if especially replacements are required.
