I'm sorry, but of all the Cars characters Mater is MY all time favorite. He's also a favorite of my four year old son...who is a die hard Cars fan, both movies! We actually own a few different Mater cars, including about THREE die cast ones. LOL I actually purchased this one, because he had misplaced a couple of his others and just had to get a replacement. Because of its small size, this is the one of the many cars that we usually take when traveling. The vehicle is extremely well made, and is quite sturdy; believe me when I say it can take a beating, my son is NOT gentle with his toys! Although Mater is made mostly of metal, the tires, undercarriage, and side-view mirrors, and the tow hook, are all made of plastic (the latter two of a flexible plastic.) My son loves it and plays with practically everyday. This is a great toy for any child who loves the Cars movies!

This product arrived at our house in good condition and wrapped very precisely. My son absolutely loves it!

I keep an eye out for the cheaper characters as my son is 3 and still plays a bit rough. $5 and under is perfect for these diecast models and they are a bit sturdier than standard hotwheels or matchbox cars.

Any kid who likes Cars will HAVE to get this Tow-Mater. Very sturdy body, and coloring on him is perfect. The only thing that bugs me about this is the plastic tow rope he has in the back. I can see that breaking off easily, especially if tried to use as a tow hook.With the rope as an exception, this is a great toy and a big hit with my kids, ages 2 and 4.

Their Disney CARS Package Race team features 11 different cars in the picture, yet I received just one. This is totally misleading advertising.

Our item did not come as described. First of all the front of the package looked like it had a piece of packing tape on it then was ripped off, a good portion of the front was like that. It was just for my son, so not a big deal, but if I was going to give this as a gift it would've been slightly embarrassing! Next up, the reason I bought him this new Mater was because he had broken the hook on the tow of his last one. The hook on this new Mater is so tiny and very useless:(Ok, fast forward a couple days after I initially gave feedback to the company. They emailed me right away, which I thought was respectful...until I read the email! Here it is:Hello,Item was BRAND NEW Toy and Factory Sealed in its Original package.If there was some scuffs on the package it was clearly listedEven the Description had:Comments: SOME LIGHT SCUFFS ON PACKAGING.I get a negative because, quote:"the reason I bought him this new Mater was because he had broken the hook on the tow of his last one. The hook on this new Mater is so tiny and very useless:( "You did not like the tiny hook ?Yes it was sealed and the toy itself brand new but nowhere on the description did it say some light scuffs on packaging. And secondly, NO I didn't like the tiny hook!! In all fairness I did go to Target last night to buy him a different Mater and it appears that every single Mater has been changed to have the tiny hook, perhaps to avoid a choking hazard?? At any rate, I didn't appreciate how I didn't get a single thank you for buying from them, or anything friendly in the email. I will avoid buying from this seller in the future.

Fisher-Price Shake 'n Go! Disney/Pixar Cars 2 - MaterI purchased this toy as a gift for my grandson. He lives in Virginia and I am in South Africa. The entire purchase was quick and simple. The gift arrived ahead of time and was exactly what he wanted. It gave me great joy to watch him open the gift and see the enjoyment he derived from it. He regularly plays with it and the car has withstood all his robust play. I am very happy with the entire experience.

This is a cute Mater. It has held up very well after about 6 months. A friend of mine's son has an older one and it is constructed of more metal than ours. This one has more plastic parts. It has held together well with no broken parts yet. Our friends older one had a broken tow line. It's just plastic and if pulled on a lot it will snap off.
