Great Story. New fan. Loved it.
I'd seen issues of Elephantmen and Hip Flask for years and had always wondered what it was about, but never got the chance to read any of it because I never knew a good entry point. With Comixology Unlimited I now have access to their original titles and this was one of the first I read. Loved it. I was worried with this being a continuation of a long established series, but I think I the world was explained enough that I understood what was going on. I loved the story. At its heart its a murder mystery. I'm not usually a mystery fan, but this kept my interest and the resolution was great. Overall I gave this five stars because I loved the art; I loved the story; the established universe was great, and it really was an enjoyable experience. Great entry point.

The bizarre kind of grows on you.
Anthropomorphic zoo animals with heavy weaponry was enough to get my attention, and great artwork and writing came through to make for a very entertaining book about war and its aftermath.

A "Who killed Shorty?" mystery book
I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Once you get past the novelty of Elephantmen (which are various anthropomorphic animal creatures, not just elephants but hippo-men and rhino-men etc); this story is a standard Whodunit mystery. I liked how the story unfolded, leading you in different directions as you try to piece together who the killer really was.I was not familiar with this franchise, but apparently there are quite a few books that already exist in this universe. I will make an effort to read more of them, as I appreciated the storytelling and the depictions of how warfare-induced trauma can be so serious.I didn't think I find such a serious message in a book about Elephantmen from the future, but I guess I was pleasantly surprised.*( It's cool to see how many people read these reviews. Not a fan
Storyline did not really grab me. Read the whole thing pretty quick but won’t continue reading other volumes or seasons.
