Ahmed Rose Water 250ml

Unlike many rose waters, Ahmed is made from cabbage roses. This results in a product without a strong smell and a light and airy taste. It's not at all 'perfume-y', but has an exquisite and delicate flavor.My favorite use for this is to make rosewater-saffron ice cream. I've used other rose waters, but I find this one the best tasting and the best complement to the saffron. It's also good in Turkish Delight and other confections (rose gummy bears! Yum!)So know what you're getting - if you want a strongly flavored, strongly perfumed rose water, don't buy this one. If you want something with a sweet and delicate flavor, then this is a must-buy!

I AM NOT A ROSEWATER EXPERT BUT I MUST SAY COMPARED TO THE OTHER ALL NATURAL ROSEWATER THAT I BOUGHT THIS ONE PALES BY COMPARISON. IT HARLDY HAS A SCENT AT ALL AND TASTES LIKE TAPWATER WITH BARELY A HINT OF ROSES [IF ANY, IT COULD HAVE BEEN MY IMAGINATION SINCE I WAS EXPECTING A SCENT AFTER ALL]. OF ALL THE INFO THAT I'VE READ ABOUT ROSEWATER AND ABOUT HOW IT SHOULD SMELL THIS ONE DOES NOT MAKE THE GRADE. PRODUCER SHOULD RECONSIDER THE PERCENTAGE OF ROSEWATER TO DISTILLED WATER. VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED.

I purchased this as a moisturizer for my hair. Very faint rose smell, almost non-exsistent. On the bottle the ingredients listed are 50% distilled water and 50% rose petals; that must be a mistake because all I smell is water.

I suppose one's mileage may vary when it comes to consumable products, but I have to say I am VERY pleased with this brand of rosewater. I bought it to try making my own rosewater lemonade, and I was very pleased with the results. It is true that the scent is somewhat faint, but the taste I found fairly exploded in my mouth. I didn't even need to add sugar to the lemonade it tasted so good as it was with the rosewater. I'm looking forward to trying other recipe with this rosewater. Ahmed definitely has a new customer in me.
