Not bad, but there are better editions out there
As other reviews have already mentioned, there are numerous errors in the printing. In studying only a couple of the pieces, I have already found 4 note errors; there may be many more in the rest of the book. For example: page 51, 2nd measure the A note in the right hand should be natural, not flat; page 85, 6th measure one of the G notes in the right hand is missing a sharp; page 88, 4th measure there is a G note in the right hand that should be an A; page 91, second to last measure the low A in the left hand should be a C. For a work that was first published over 120 years ago, as well as this edition which is copyrighted 1989 (30+ years ago), you would figure all these errors would have been corrected by now?The printing quality itself is good overall, just some blotchy spots with missing ink. I think the note size is just right with 5 stanza lines per page. You will need some kind of clip to keep the book open like most music books.

Good for the listener; not so good for the performer
If you want an overall great deal of a wonderful recording (Biret) and an adequate score, then this is probably the best value. However, when it's time to learn out of the score, the book will not stay open without constantly bending it and trying to train it. By the time you manage to get it to stay open, the pages start to fall out because of the lack of sewing and just using glue. Additionally, as the score was reprinted, the quality isn't very good; you can even see the computer pixelation, which I think is pretty bad.Buyers should note that this edition contains the older version of Op. 16, No. 2 (E-flat Minor). Rachmaninoff revised that particular moment musical later in life and if that's important to you, then keep that in mind. I would say that despite the book's shortcomings, I am satisfied; the CD makes up for it.

Four Stars
Besides some misprints (wrong notes) this publication is fine. I've not yet heard the CD.
