I actually liked this book. However, what disappointed me was the pot-smoking and drinking and f-bombs in nearly every sentence. I don’t mind the occasional f-bomb, but don’t they know any other curse words? It became ridiculous after a while. Then the h would get drunk and embarrass herself, and what would she do? She’d get drunk again. Haven’t decided if I’ll continue the series...

Apparently, there is an entire rockstar romance genre and I love it! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I will be reading the next book in the series.I liked the female protagonist, she felt vulnerable and strong, complicated and real. I worried about the male protagonist being too cliché but in the end I think he broke the mold just enough. This is a romance novel, the men are muscled and the women are hot. There is a lot of sex that kept me gobbling it up.I saw one review that compared it to Fifty Shades and I don’t agree at all. This book does not explore a dom/sub relationship and the female protagonist is not lame, even if she does have some insecurities to work through.Not as a negative, per say, but just to manage expectations, it has the feel of a self-published book: the digital printing, a few typos, and some editing needed. If I could say one thing to the author I would ask her to change her covers. I hate them. If you could get someone to do an illustration like Take a Hint, Dani Brown or The Right Swipe, I think you would widen your audience.PS- 4 stars is a very good rating from me, I rarely give 5 stars.

i absolutely LOVED this book. Rockstars are my favorite kind of story and this was one of the best I’ve read. Jaine Diamond is new to me but not for long! I’m going to gobble up everything I can find by her! Her books are amazing because her stories seem so real. Sure the rockstars are glamorous and maybe they can be jerks sometimes (which by the way Jesse will admit!) but then you get to meet down to earth Katie who bakes when she’s nervous, loves to skateboard and wait until you read about the diamond bra!! Hilarious! These characters are deep and well-developed. The secondary characters are just as interesting and I can’t wait for their stories. Jesse and Katie’s story starts slowly. The sexual tension begins immediately but builds at an excruciatingly slow pace for both characters and they feel ALL the tension (and so do we as the readers!) Love it!! Will they ever get to an HEA? Sometimes I doubt it, but you need to read the book!

OMG Where has this book been all my life???? Both Jesse and Katie were just cute beyond words, and, together, they were beyond hot!!! I loved the push and pull between them! They really had the best start out of all fake relationship romances out there, hands down!!! Hot, hot, HOT! All characters were so well developed, and, all I got to say is that they better stay developed like that when they get their own books because I cannot take the disappointment if they don’t.

What would you do if a sexy rockstar asked to pay you big bucks to pretend to be his girlfriend while promoting his new album? Say yes of course!! And that’s what Katie did, diving head first into the delicious world of Jesse Mayes... I am not going to lie, I’m totally green with envy with how off the charts Jesse and Katie’s chemistry was!! Gah... totally took a cold shower (shhh don’t judge me) from how steamy things got. Loved this book and am seriously so freaking excited there are more books to this series so that I can get to know more about those that are close to Jesse & Katie... cause I’m dying to know what’s up with his sister Jessa and Brody!

A very hot read - the chemistry between the Jesse and Katie is off the charts. I really liked that even though their relationship starts out as a ruse - Jesse doesn't act like a typical rockstar manwhore, his commitment to Katie is pretty obvious from the start . - I understand Katie's reluctance to believe what was happening but I wished she believed in Jesse a little more. She does the mature thing eventually and the book has a satifying conclusion. Looking forward to reading about Jessa, Maggie, Brody and Zane to mention a few

This starts off strong, and has a great supporting cast of characters. It's a standard everyday girl and mega rockstar fall in love story. It got boring once the sex happened, again, and again, and again. And the general pattern of show, party, get drunk, sec, rinse repeat.

Pros: believable backdrop, good secondary characters, likable H and h, liked the author's writing styleCons: chemistry between main characters was lacking, steamy scenes were ok, my biggest peeve was the length of this book (it's too long)overall not bad but a bit boring and that's why i will pass on reading the other books in this series.Spoiler: the ending with Katie meeting up with Elle was weird and felt unnecessary.

You know you're a talented author when your description of a sexy Rock band makes your reader blush, all girly and shy lol!! Congratulations on this Gorgeous book. Jesse is a dream. (Heart eyes)I have a feeling he will be the one that stays in my heart throughout the series...I can't wait to continue but he set the bar very high. Katie is just adorable and fiercely strong. There are times however when I wanted to scream in her face like when she requested her bet to be her man naked on stage and the sex tape fantasy?! How cliche! But I'm so glad Jesse was the same one and always found a way around her strange ideas.Truly adore this book and the author's style of writing. Just downloaded book 2....here we go!

An indecent proposal from a rich worldly wise guy to a younger innocent girl with constant sexual attraction. Sound familiar? It almost feels that this book has been commissioned by a publishing house keen to jump on the huge success of the Fifty Shades series. Follow up books all written and ready to go with the reader encouraged to follow the journey of the band members of the rock band. Like fifty shades the sex ends up getting boring in the end, but unlike fifty shades this book did not have a strong enough plot in the background. Easy read on holiday with some goodish characters but fairly forgettable.

...there are sone problems.I don't often say this, but it's too long. Too much samey-ness where the story doesn't advance. Lots of anticipation and hot sex, especially if you like to read about exhibitionism.The paying-for-her angle is never really resolved. For a skater girl, she has very little backbone.I'm a bit confused also why this whole series is listed in the Music category.All in all, it's a good book.

I had gone looking for another book, I saw this one and decided to give it a go, after reading about 10 pages I decided to buy the book, even though I don't like musician books or fake girl friend books, but like I said I only read 10 pages and I bought the book.I haven't read any books by Janie before, but I will now.Brilliant book, loved it can't wait to try the next book.

Holy cow!!! I've never read anything by jaine diamond before but that will now change! This book was freaking amazing! I can normally pick something even tiny that I can criticize about every book i read but with this I couldn't! I dont even normally read the rockstar style romance books but this had me hooked from the blurb! Everyone needs to read this book! I feel crappy now that its finished but I think I'm gonna restart it again lol!
