Great Customer SVC @ Wintec
I purchased this item in February of 2012. I used one in my Nikon D5100, and another I left inserted in a work laptop to save files on. They both performed well up until a week ago. The one in my laptop, which gets inserted and removed 2-3 times per week, broke. The seam holding the two outside shells separated on the side of the lock lever. In the process, the lock lever was moved to the lock position. The lever was missing and the card was read only. Since I had work data on the card, I couldn't simply mail it back to Wintec for exchange. I explained the situation to them, expecting to be told to pound sand, and they promptly shipped me a new card as a one time courtesy. While it's true that the best customer service is the service you never have to use. Wintec comes in a close second. The rep got back to me within minutes of me emailing them and told me they would be shipping a new card. I was impressed.UPDATE 08/14/2013The replacement card arrived fast. Their customer service is impressive. Unfortunately, the second card (that I bought with the one that broke) suffered the same fate as the first. The lock switch disappeared and left the card in read only mode.It croaked while coming out of the same device, a Panasonic Toughbook CF31. This card started its life in my 5100. A month or so before the first card died, I got a good deal on some fast sandisk memory for my Nikon. When the first card died, I relegated card 2 to the Toughbook.I know that I am gentle with these cards. I have never had another card die for any reason. Never mind two in a row for the same thing. I have been leaving an SD card in my Toughbooks for about two years, however those were CF 30's.I am left wondering if I got a bad batch from Wintec, if Wintec is garbage, or if there is something about the CF 31 that chews up cards. I have a Kingston SD card in the CF 31 now. I'll report back after a few months to see if it is the card or the laptop.

A 'Professional' card that is ranked at the BOTTOM of its class
I purchased this Wintec Filemate 32 GB Professional Class 10 Secure Digital SDHC Card mostly because it is a budget-priced class-10 card, and it claims "Professional Performance". After testing it thoroughly, however, I was disappointed. This so-called 'Professional' card is actually the slowest among all my class-10 cards sampled. In fact, it is even slower than some 'class-4' SDHC cards I own. Here are the details of my testing:First, I used the free 'Flash Memory Toolkit' to benchmark this card's file read/write speed:- The read speed is relatively slow at 15-17MB/s, while most other cards can achieve 18-20MB/s in this test.- The write speed is very poor for smaller files of 1-2MB in size, achieving just 2.2-2.4MB/s- For larger files of 4-15MB in size, the write speed improved to 6-8MB/sNext, I used the 'H2testw v1.4' to benchmark read/write speed for 1GB files. For this test the card reached a write speed of 10.1MB/s, which means it barely qualifies as a 'class-10' card.Third, I ran 'CrystalDiskMark 3.01 x64' on this card to determine its sequential and random read/write speeds. The result is shown in the screenshot I uploaded to 'Customer Images' section. Basically, it says that this card is decent for sequential writing of big files, but very poor for random writing of small files.Of course, the REAL benchmark is in the actual application. For that, I inserted this card in my Canon Rebel T1i, set the camera to save in both RAW and JPEG formats (total ~25MB per shot), took 10 consecutive shots in burst mode and record the time. The complete result is shown in 'Customer Images' section. Here is a short summary:- Wintec Filemate 'class-10' card took 28.3 seconds to save 10 photos. This is the same speed as my 3-year-old Sandisk Extreme class-6 card.- My two other class-10 cards ( Transcend TS16GSDHC10 and HP CG790A ) are much faster. They finished in 24.1 and 16.7 seconds, respectively. So despite the name 'Professional', this Wintec Filemate card is actually the slowest among three class-10 cards I tested. In fact, the fastest HP class-10 card is also the lowest cost one at this moment (if you choose "Amazon Frustration Free Packaging"). That makes it the best value.

Speed is dated
I have had this card for quite some time running in my Panasonic HDC-TM300. It has served well in that capacity, never having an issue keeping up with the HD video that device records. However its performance is dated when compared to modern cards. Still I have never had an issue with this card in the several years i have used it.Panasonic HDC-TM300Shttp://amzn.to/2tiLxG6Compared with the Sandisk Extremehttp://amzn.to/2tbR1jgThe Sandisk Extreme card has 4x faster read and write speeds, and costs only a few dollars more for the same 32GB card. Almost certainly worth the upgrade.Compared with the Lexar 633xhttp://amzn.to/2skHowLCloser to the same price, the Lexar 633x has better performance. The read speed of the Lexar 633x is about 4x faster and writes are almost 2x faster. The Lexar 633x is in between the Wintec and Sandisk Extreme in price. Perhaps this is a better choice if every dollar counts.Today there are much faster cards available such asSandisk Extreme Pro XC Ihttp://amzn.to/2sad8b7Sandisk Extreme Pro XC IIhttp://amzn.to/2tb5GedLexar 1000xhttp://amzn.to/2skXUNoLexar 2000xhttp://amzn.to/2skIBnLIt was a good I purchase for the time but I would look elsewhere today.Dumping large amounts of video files off of this card is not speedy, a transfer of a full 32GB took more than 20 min at a speed of about 20MB/s using my Saicoo reader. I do recommend removing it from the device for best performance, and using a quality card reader such as.http://amzn.to/2shF9Ouorhttp://amzn.to/2shRWAzI have attached a benchmark using the Saicoo reader above. The transfer rates using the Saicoo show this card to operate at about 22MB/s read and 14MB/s write. USB 3 provides no advantage here.
