SennheiserHD 300 Closed Back, Around Ear Headphone, Black, HD 300

I got these to record my podcast (Life At Your Own Will).They're comfy to wear. The sound is good. There is a slight element of sound cancellation (in my opinion). Not too heavy, though.I like how you're able to fold these headphones into a smaller size. Great when you're on the go. You can just fold them and pop them into your bag.I wouldn't recommend these to audiophiles (in this case, you get what you pay for).

Why do people buy Beats or Sony?Marketing.Do yourself a favour and get some proper headphones. You won't regret it.Sennheiser have been making headphones for decades. Their goal isn't slick gimmicks and marketing but high audio quality. If you love music I'd highly recommend ignoring the popular and well marketed but lower quality sounding phones and go for these. You'll love the noticeably superior sound quality.I also have a pair of sennheiser hd650 which retailed at about £500. For a fraction of that price, these headphones hold up against them remarkably well.They have a closed back, blocking out some ambient noise. This is sometimes called "passive" noise cancelling. They don't have any active noise cancelling. Often, closed back headphones sound a bit dull and overly bassy. Not these, they have a beautiful, detailed and natural sound (not too trebly, not too bassy). You can listen to them for ages without feeling like your ears are being attacked by the music.They're also pretty comfortable. I'm 6'8 and have a suitably large head to fit my body. I don't have a problem getting these over my head and over my ears. I find them comfy for about an hour. They'll likely wear in and be comfy for longer.They feel solid for the money and I'd be surprised if they don't last for a long time to come.Highly recommended.

The leather has begun to fray after only a short period of time.

These are advertised as 'over ear' and the back of the box states 'on ear'. However, unless you are Spock, these are over ear. I like them. They are 'wife-cancelling'.....sorry, 'noise-cancelling'.., so I can be in my own little world. My wife says I'm in my own little world all the time anyway. Bit mean.

I bought these as they were a very reasonable price and well reviewed by Which. I particularly liked that they did not have a volume control as I have had problems in the past getting adequate volume out of headphones connected to my phones without taping down the answering button. These give an excellent volume on both phones and it is no problem to adjust volume on the phone. Simple means less to go wrong in my book. I mainly use them for listening to speech radio and classical when out and about or engaged in DIY. They are comfortable for me and stay put. Sound quality seems good for the money as I expected - I do not have any really expensive cans to compare though. Individual instruments in orchestral are sharp and distinct when they should be. I have seen the sound described elsewhere as "bright" and I think I know what they mean. I have another pair not a lot more expensive which I think may be more atmospheric of a concert hall but would not like to rate one better for sound just different.Don't think you can go wrong with these

These headphones are far better than their modest price might suggest. They are very comfortable (remember they are over ear, not on ear), well padded, including the narrow but soft headband, and quite light. But it's the sound that's such a surprise - clean, detailed, big open sound stage, perfectly even frequency response - no boomy bass or woolly mids here. Quite extraordinary value for money. NB these are wired headphones, perfect for listening, mixing, monitoring etc. ; they are not made for gaming, or for Zoom or MS Teams. There is no mic, nor a volume control - for which you will need to use the device volume controls. The plug is a 3.5mm jack, with no 1/4" adapter - but you can buy one of those very cheaply here on Amazon.

Both sound and build quality are exceptional for the money. But I can't wear them for more than about 40 minutes before they've got to come off to relieve the pain. My head is average size, size 7 hat, but the headband spring is so strong that my ears are compressed. This is made even worse by my ears being pressed hard against the arm of my glasses. If only they weren't so tight I'd score them 6 out of 5! As it is I think 3 stars is fair.I wonder if some reviews are actually for the Sennheiser HD 300 headphones: reviewers are giving them a score of 3.7 for volume control. The Sennheiser HD 300 headphones have no volume control! Volume must be controlled from the device providing the audio, not that there is any disadvantage to that.

Bought for my daughter. Very light and great sound.

Fiquei um tempo só comprando headsets de menor preço, os quais acabavam dando problema com um ano de uso ou menos. Já esse fone, não só tem uma qualidade de som muito maior, como também tá me durando uns 2 ou 3 anos. Acaba compensando mais do que comprar um headset novo a cada ano.

The sound quality is good for the prince range, nonetheless, they are very uncomfortable if you're gonna wear them for long periods of time. The headband is not cushioned, so it hurts from time to time. Too bad.
