don't know about longevity, but it is effective, quiet and stylish.
I am a 1st time user of dehumidifier, so I can't compare to other brands, but I like the look, design, and small footprint of this one compared to others. I have asthma, and a while back I found out I am also allergic to mold spores, so my doctor has been on me to buy a dehumidifier. Here in San Francisco it is very humid. I have a 750 sqr foot apartment, so I originally bought the larger unit from this company, the OL210-E25. It worked well, and I could definitely tell a significant difference in my bedroom, but not the rest of the apartment. I had thought the bigger unit would be enough for the entire apartment, but its not. Plus the lights on the bigger unit make it hard to sleep when in bedroom. So I bought this smaller unit for my bedroom, and I use the larger unit in the spare room. This smaller 30pint unit seems to do an excellent job in my 180 sqr foot bedroom, and the configuaration of the lights are easy to cover at night to sleep. Both u its are pretty quiet, but if you plan to sleep in the same room, I highly recommend this smaller 30 pint unit. I have not owned either unit long enough to judge longevity, but shipping was prompt and the devices are well packaged to avoid any damage in transit.

This is the one you want!
Wonderful and great customer service that helped us with some bumps in the road. I HIGHLY recommend. I live that you can set the desired humidity level to the nearest 5% and how quiet and efficient it is. We run the hose to a drain and turn it off at night, most nights. This little guy is maintaining our 720sq ft apartment, even though it's not meant for that size. We could only afford the one. Also, did I mention how QUIET it is? We don't use the ion feature due to ozone, if we had it in a moldy area, away from people, I probably would. And I must say it again, customer service is AMAZING. Great integrity.

If connected to hose and hose is on a slope works great otherwise has to be emptied often

Very Quiet and Effective UPDATE - Unit Failed
I was in need of a dehumidifier for two connected rooms (430 sq ft) I use as a work area. For the past two years I have had a Eurgeen 20pt model OL10-009D in my camper and another one in my cabin style boat and have been very pleased with their performance. So, I decided to try this 30pt unit which is promoted as the “second-generation” of the two units I already own.The unit came double boxed and included the manual, a vinyl hose for continuous operation and four casters wheels. It has a cutout area in the back that serves as a handle which helps when moving it around. The cabinet is attractive and seems solidly constructed.A nice touch is the option of using either using the wheels or omitting them and allowing the unit to set on the installed soft rubber padded feet. The rubber feet are your best bet if you intend to have it drain continuously into a sink or drain. With the wheels, the normal operation of the unit tends to cause it to creep around a bit (or at least the 20pt units did) and it could possibly cause the drain tube to be pulled away from its target. But with the pads it stays put. To install the wheels you do need to peel off the rubber pads and there are holes beneath to accept them.If it is decided to drain continuously, the included vinyl hose needs to be attached. This is done by removing the tank and slipping it over the drain port on the upper right-hand corner. Note - there is an o-ring already installed on the protruding port and you should slide the vinyl tubing back to where o-ring pushes it against the housing and creates a seal. Also, although no water will now flow into the tank it MUST be replaced or the unit thinks the tank is full and will not operate.Another note about continuous draining is the routing of the tube. I have found the tubing needs to slope smoothly downhill with no sections sagging and holding water. Any sagging section tends to block the water flow and will cause a backup into the unit’s coils. This will happen no matter how low the drain end of the tubing is - the water in the sag causes a dam. Make it slope smoothly and all is well. The operation is fairly straight forward and explained in the manual. It is written in somewhat broken English but workable. One area of confusion though is under the heading of “HUMSET” (humidity setting). It states - “Long press this button for 3 seconds to query the current environmental humidity.” This is incorrect. The long press actually shows the current TEMPERATURE. Unfortunately, for us in the USA this reads Celsius and I found no way to change it to Fahrenheit. This is a minor point but something to note. The unit does not have the “Star Energy” rating but has made major improvements in that direction over the older units. On the previous units, the circulating fan ran continuously when the unit was turned on – even if the humidity was low enough it wasn’t needed. On those units the fan runs 24/7.With this unit, when it starts the fan runs and if the humidity is high enough the compressor starts and dehumidification begins. Once the desired level is attained the compressor shuts off and the fan continues to run for a short time and then it too stops. The unit then silently monitors the humidity. Every once in a while the fan will start and run. I assume this is to circulate air in the room and allows the unit to take a more accurate sample of the actual moisture level. If needed the compressor then starts. If not it shuts off and sits while continuing to monitor. This would seem to be a much more energy efficient routine. The new unit is also quieter than the old units when running. This is mostly because the circulation fan is not moving as much air as the old units. But it does not seem to be a problem. Between the two rooms I am dehumidifying there is only a single open doorway, yet both rooms are yielding the same humidity readings on the humidity gauges I have within. So, obviously there is adequate circulation with the lower speed/quieter fan.Overall, I am pleased with the new dehumidifier. I have only had it for a few days so cannot comment on the long term durability. But the older units have performed flawlessly to this point so I am hoping this is an indication of the quality of the new second-generation model. Time will tell and I will update this if something changes.PLEASE NOTE - This is actually the second one of these units I received. The first functioned but there was an odd internal rattle sound when the compressor was running. I wondered if it had been dropped hard in shipping and something in the compressor or the compressor itself had broken loose. I contacted the seller and explained the problem, including an audio recording of the sound. With absolutely no argument they agreed this was not correct and immediately shipped me a new unit. Can’t ask for better customer support than that.UPDATE - after a year the unit has stopped working. The compressor still runs but ice is forming on the lower section of the coil. This is a classic symptom related to the loss of refrigerant. There is a leak somewhere and it has made the unit nonfunctional.

It’s quiet
Disappointed- it’s quiet. But my old one seemed to get the humidity out of the air. This one doesn’t do as well.

Worst de-humidifier ever!
Do yourself a favor and keep looking! This is the worst most expensive terrible device ever! At best you end up with water everywhere, at worst don't ask! I totally DO NOT recommend it! Had to throw it out.

Great machine!!
We purchased this for our new home with an enclosed porch that we use as a gym. The dryer is vented out there and we were very worried about the humidity causing damage to the room and equipment. I was nervous to buy this one as I had never heard of the brand but wow, this dehumidifier just takes the moisture right out! Even with running back to back loads of laundry, it keeps the humidity way down. Love the digital display. I can always see at a glance what the humidity level is. Easy to set up and maintain and the noise level is very low. Highly recommend!
