LimoStudio LED Ring Light 18-inch Diameter with Height 71.5" Tripod Stand, Phone Holder, Mount Adapter, Bluetooth Remote Shutter with Strap, AGG1451

This ring light has it all. I love the size of this ring light because you don't need a fill light. This 18-inch ring light, with the ball mount, is sufficient to mount my iPad / tablet inside the circle, so I can use its internal camera and the screen to keep me in the frame. It works well with Zoom calls. The tripod is stable. I love the remote control so I don’t have to get up and down. The temperature control is the best for getting just the right lighting effect.

I purchased these LimoStudio as well as a pair from Fotasy (for the same price) but the Fotasy came with a lens cloth--other than that, they looked alike in the pics. Once they came, I looked at both carefully and found that there are significant differences:1) The LimoStudio while not coming with a lens cloth (so what) has a thicker "foot." The foot is the flat part that slides into the flash "shoe." This means it has greater resistance to bending or breaking.2) The threads of the LimoStudio were a bit smoother.Also, the price just dropped so this is a great deal for two solid hot shoe adapters. I needed them as my off-camera TTL flash cord that had a plastic foot that broke when I tripped on a tree root. Didn't fall, but the sudden jarring snapped it. Luckily, it also has a female 1/4" threaded receiver that this will go into and make a nice repair with a metal foot that will be more resistant to snapping. One will also replace the broken plastic foot on my LED Video light which also has a 1/4" threaded receiver.

All items where received including advertised accessories and instructions. No broken parts and the packaging was fine although it did not have styrofoam casing round the light. With prime items will come in 2 - 3 days.The tripod light mounting stand can use some improvement to insure the legs won't slide. Rubber stoppers on the bottom ends of legs may help. Be mindful not to put downward pressure on the tripod it may cause the legs to expand outward even when fully locked into place. Will post a product update after continuous use. Best Wishes

I wish I would have read the bad reviews instead of just the good ones. I try to stay optimistic... but you have to also be realistic. This ring light is poor quality. For one, It was missing 3 pieces to start with. Which I found to be a common mistake after reading the bad reviews - after I received the item to see if others had the same issues as myself. Secondly, the piece that holds the cell phone or camera is broken/defective. In the photograph you see a light that has LEDs in a row of four going all the way around, but this is not what the ring actually looks like. You can't even see the LEDs and it doesn't get as bright as I believe it should. The white "foggy-like" ring cover that comes attached to it is not removeable. Mine had black specs of something all over it. It appears I received a used/returned product. The interier ring is 13in, while the outside is fact 18". The light & stand is very light, not heavy duty at all. You can carry it easily, however it is not stable.... and could easily fall over. You would need to buy something heavy duty to hold the base in place. It would be wise to spend a little more on something of better quality. The instructions were very understandable & the stand/ring were easy to put together, with an exception of the tripod/phone or camera holder - which came with no instructions which made it difficult to put together... especially when defective and/or missing pieces.

Only thing I don't like is the grip for phones.1. The piece that is supposed to let you pull it open easier broke the first day bc it's just a rubber nub.2. There is no place to attach it so you can get a good centered up and down shot. There are 4 notches in the ring. But if you use the top or bottom then the phone sits in the cradle sideways. And the side notches leaves the phone off center and at an angle.

While the ring light itself serves it's purpose, it does not sit straight vertical and tilts a bit to one side, therefore I have to position my camera in it to one side to balance the picture. The light piece doesn't securely screw on to the tripod provided, and I've tried several others and had the same issue. The lever used to move the angle of the actual ring light squeals/creaks extremely loudly every time. I've had this about 8 months and all of the issues were present from the beginning, I just didn't want to take the time to ship it back and I wanted to try and make it more secure, but failed. I've still used it, just with a lot of adjusting to get the picture/video straight. The cell phone holder holds the phone well, however, it also loosens after you've tightened it in to position even if it's not being touched. You are definitely getting what you pay for with this item, but all in all it provides great lighting.

I have been using camera's for years, having many years experience with 35 mm's. Some years ago, I began using digital versions, but had kept my old flash handle, so that I did not have to hand a heavy flash off the top of a camera body. This also decreases the likelihood of red-eye. And I had tried various ways to fit a new flash to the handle, but never had a satisfactory answer. Even looked online but was not successful, until I came across these. Its simple and strong - which is what I was looking for. Not really sure why they have two in a package but suppose it might be useful. If your still using your flash on top of a camera, really consider moving it to a handle - and with this device you have that option.

It’s easy to assemble but after having it for a couple months, the stand is pretty cheaply made. The bolt that makes the 3 legs stay in place does not keep the legs in place. I tighten them as far as I can and they still fan out and cause the entire light to not be as tall as I need it be.....so I’m forced to have it be one height all the time and by the legs doing this it can be a tripping hazard. Otherwise it’s a good light
