MaximalPower Replacement Palm Speaker Mic for Kenwood Two-Way Radios HRM16 , Black,RM KEN HRM16

I work for a security company, where I do private patrol, both foot and vehicle. The Palm radio would only work 70% of the time, the other 30%, is where I will miss information, and when I unplugged it, I automatically had traffic resume on my radio. I got chewed out by my lieutenant because I did not copy on a or responded to a call for service during the 30% of the time it did not work, and this is the first night on delivery. When I am sitting in the car, it works really well, but when I start walking around, I would not be able to hear anything emanate from the Palm radio, but when disconnected, I can hear my radio perfectly well. I was excited to get it, but now I'm just disappointed. Need to improve the coil wire, I feel like I went to the Dollar Tree and purchased those cheap $1 headphones that only work half the time, however, it did have very clear radio output, and it fit comfortably from my waist to my shoulder, I will give it that

They're very good with the radios we bought. Bought 1 as a test unit and added 5 more. All the team likes them. Good transmission quality and so on. The cord could be a bit longer but other than that they're a great deal.

Bought this microphone for my Wouxun ham radio and it worked alright at first, however there were some issues-The PTT button tends to get stuck randomly during transmit; turns out the PTT button and housing is cheaply made-I use this radio on the local repeaters, and I tend to get reports of low audio. When I try to remedy the low audio problem by talking close to the mic, I get reports of muffled audio.- The audio coming out of the speaker is alright, however the transmit audio leaves more to be desired.-Cord is short and needs to be stretched out. The good thing about this microphone is the strong metal clip. Very sturdy compared to my Yaesu speaker microphone, which is a plastic piece of crap.-I should have bought an OEM Wouxun speaker mic. Would have cost me less at least.

I bought 3 of these, using them with Olympia p324 radios (Motorola clones), and they work great. A little smaller than I'm used to (not horribly smaller, just smaller), but they sound and transmit great. Nice metal ring holding the clip onto the mic, so it seems heavy duty. If nothing else you could put a tougher clip on if you needed to. Cord length seems a hair shorter than the Motorola mics, but it's probably just because they're new. Very happy with them so far.1/10/2013I have 5 of these mics and have been using them for about 6 months with my radios with no issues. Have been reliable, tough, and sound great.

The audio on receive is excellent. The transmitted audio as heard over another radio is also excellent. The mic fits easily into one's palm without fear of it slipping. Nice size and grip. The length of the coiled cord is also sufficient when the radio is hanging on one's belt and the mic is one your lapel or shirt/jacket pocket. I've used hand microphones for over 45 years and I like this one very much (as does my wife).

I bought this to help when I have to work parking when I stand close to the street. I have a bit of a problem with the cord length and the size of the speaker, although this helps tremendously and I wouldn't give it back for anything.

Great product. If you need the hands free work like I do then this is for you. I am in and out of a forkful all day shipping and receiving stuff. So convenient to have this.
