Pow Wows Of Native Americans Indians

I just absolutely love Native American music; I grew up in Hawaii, which is very "Native"; I have traveled to near Riverside, Calif. and there's a military airfield just off the freeway( sorry I'm in brain fog) but you can pick up the music at night, I used to hang there a lot....I"ll be back soon!! of interest, my father was raised by a woman who was raised by '"Iroquois Indians", not far from "up-state New York", my father was in Hawaii At the end of WWII (his Aircraft Carrier was hit by "Kamikaze") waiting for relocation orders! He was reminded of her being in that environment and moved to Hawaii in 1950 and lived and worked at Pearl Harbor...HE is now buried at Punchbowl!! I can be so lucky!! the music "Rocks"

...that these pow wows would be mainly about war songs!

This is a great album that highlights the different sound for each different style of dance. The variety is obvious, even to a non-native, and the production is very professional. A must as you drive to or from a powwow in your local area and fun to have on at home, to take you back to the powwow experience.

So great...I love it. Because of my disability, I have not been able to get to a pow wow for way too long

I wanted something authentic, with no modern instruments. I found Sacred Dance to be very powerful and realistic of native American rituals.

I love Native American music and have all my life. This is a lovely CD and I am really enjoying it.
