Most user reviews have the same problem where it doesn't foam up as much. I followed the instructions as closely as I can and it had a medium amount of foaming action but not as much as I expected. I think the step to have a "pencil thin amount of water flowing nearby" is probably a critical part and you really have to dial in the flow just right. That said it made my formerly very stinky sink NOT STINKY and it hasn't re-stunk since I last cleaned it! For me, even with the lukewarm foaming action, that makes this worth it's weight in gold. Maybe it will do an even better job if I can get it to foam up more, but I really couldn't be happier. I had tried every other approach to sink cleaning prior to this and nothing worked or was only temporary, but one use of CLR has lasted me about three weeks now. It doesn't have that weird of a chemical smell when you use it and the smell goes away quickly. I know everybody has a different situation but all I can say is that it cleaned up my sink's garbage disposal very well. If you are at your wits end with a stinky sink, CLR is worth a shot.

I fortunately bought the pack of 5 which was priced at around $6, with taxes $6.50. I am not impressed. Others have said the odour disappears- my insinkerator did not have a strong odor to start with. I just bought this to have it smeeling "fresh" because it said "fresh scent" on the package. The first one I used did nothing- it just disappeared in to the disposal unit, there was some grating/ grinding noise and it was gone. Then I used a second one soon after- there was minimal foaming action, and that was also gone in less than a few seconds I have now used 4 of these and I cant say i am impressed by it- no foaming action, no "fresh scent" either. My sink never had a really bad odor to start with, and it still doesnt, and I dont know if this pod is doing anything at all Fells like money down the drain (literally its $1.20 every time I use the pod) from the outside it looks like a white powder- I am assuming its a mix of some weak acid and baking soda- maybe dilute vinegar or lemon juice and baking soda will do the same thing? I am not planning to buy this again

I recently started using these once a week in my disposal and I follow the instructions to a T every time. This last bag I purchased were all duds. They didn't foam up at all. It just stayed in the bottom of my disposal and didn't actually clean anything and I've noticed a bad odor coming from the disposal. The instructions say to run the disposal for a full minute prior to using the pod and then turn off the disposal. Then reduce the stream of water to a "pencil width", put the pod in and then turn on the disposal. I follow these directions every time and it's hit or miss whether it foams up and cleans the disposal. I might have to swap to another brand if this keeps happening. I'm tired of wasting my money.

Had tried another disposal-cleaning tablet, also bought on Amazon, and it did not work as well as this CLR. This one works well and also foams.

This product is truly exceptional in every way. The tablet did not foam at all despite following the directions on the package. Expensive and a waste of money.

Awful. Did not work at all. Followed instructions carefully twice and still no foam at all. $20 bucks down the drain with these pods!!

It’s just ok. There is better ones out there with way better foaming, cleaning action. So I was disappointed since the brand name is well known for working great. But I will not buy again and go with another brand.
