Fixed my leaking Senco Model L pneumatic staple nailer!
I was super stoked to have found two older Senco air nailers/staplers at an estate sale. They were so cheap that I couldn't go wrong but I love old tools because they are so often better built than their modern equivalents. Well, when I got home I plugged in the nailer and...all good. Then I plugged in my Model L Staple Nailer and...WOOOSH! Air was rushing out of the top of the gun!I disassembled the unit to see if I could find the problem but found nothing amiss. After reassembling the gun I did some research and found this part. I took the chance and bought it unsure if it would fix my stapler. Once the ring arrived, I disassembled the gun again and this time, one tiny piece of hardened rubber was floating around in the air chamber. Basically, the old o-ring had completely disintegrated, dry-rotted or been destroyed!I looked up a diagram, installed the new o-ring in the proper orientation, reassembled and...THWACK! THWACK! THWACK! I was back in business! What an awesome tool and great time to be alive! :D
