Excellent Book for Tween Girls about Cleopatra
Excellent book for tween girls about Cleopatra. Interesting and well written. It deals frankly with assassination plots and deaths, but avoids using the word "slave" in favor of the euphemism "handmaiden." Perhaps this is appropriate in view of its intended readership.

Amazing book
It was an amazing book with very pretty and detailed pictures. I love how Turetsky can write with such great imagination while at the same time giving you a very interesting history "lecture" about that specific time and event. I'm hinting the three books On Board the Titanic, Palace of Versailles and this very book I am talking about:the Cleopatra book) match up with each other to create a very powerful secret!!!: ;)

Entertaining
In a market overflowing in dystopian novels, it was refreshing to read this historical fiction novel. My niece (she's 11) has read the first two in the series and really enjoyed them. I found it to be a fun read. I received an e-galley from Netgalley for my review, but bought a copy to give to my niece for Christmas.

I need the rest in the series
If you have not picked up these books, pick them up now. Behind on your reading target? Pick them up. Bored of all your regular “adult” books? Pick them up. You can honestly zip through these in a couple of hours.Again, you need to read these in order, as this follows on directly from the events of the second, and a rather intriguing twist that I didn’t see coming. (But I can see spin-offs from at least two other characters. Please.)I didn’t find the illustrations as inviting as the previous books, possibly because there wasn’t much scope for the imagination for the illustrator in ancient Egyptian times. The storyline is still excellent and doesn’t drop off/become run of the mill, despite it being the third book in the series. The author constantly keeps you engaged in the storyline, and it doesn’t suffer from pacing issues at all.I can’t stress how much these books are worth reading, if you like young adult stories (despite not being the target audience)/time travel/fashion. I’m only disappointed that I’ve finished the series for the time being. I will definitely be watching out for more.
