The difference in IR Flood lights
The pictures show illumination of (1) Lonnky 100 foot IR Illuminator approximately 90ft from the camera that is located on the main building on the property. The view in the pictures is facing due West and the illuminator is just around the corner of the building pointing South West. I put it there because the drip edge is to the South as you can see. The vehical and trailers in the picture are about 75 feet from the IR. Just so you know, I have a bright led yard light on a pole on top of the main building. This is were our NVR and monitor is located. Also, the camera that records the video is a rotating PTZ 5mp unit with a rated 200 ft of IR mounted on the side of the main building. I spent close to $275.00 for it. The pictures left to right show IR on and yard light on. The second picture is with IR on and yard light off. Third is IR off with yard light on, and the fourth is IR off and the yard light off. Actual stuff. The security camera, if you can tell, does really well for IR at night. I would say that it does put out close to 200 ft of IR. The vehical, trailer and boat from the camera are about 165 away. Originally I bought (1) Tendelux 200 ft long range illuminator BI 18 with 90 degree angle for $45.98. I hooked it up to the building in the pictures, same spot as the Lonnky. The Tendelux is junk. I paid $44.98 for it, andafter seeing what it did I called tech support. It was deemed that maybe the unit they sent me was defective. I received the second Tendelux and it was a litytle better than the first but no way did it project 200 feet of IR. It didn't even go 75 feet.So then I read some more reviews and they made some sense that (2) 100 foot IR would be better than 1 because one can spread it out over the area better. Turns out (1) was enough to due what the Tendelux couldn't. I mounted the other light in another area not in these pics. In short, all I want to say is thank you to the people who take the time to write non biased reviews. Also, shame on the suppliers who claim distances of IR product that doesn't even come close to the rating on the box. The whole IR thing is new to me and I am not an expert but I recommend this product because I bought it for almost 1/2 the money (each) and it out performed the junky comparison in the Tendelux. Amazon should be responsible and take note that they are selling a misrepresented product in the Tendelux. I hope this helps out the next person. Happy shopping!

Solid IR illuminator for the price point
Installed 4 of these in 3 different locations, 2 in the 1st location(side yard North) at 20 & 40 feet, and one each in location 2 & 3. I had to install 2 in location 1(side yard north) because one was not enough to illuminate the area near my back gate.I ran 110 outlets in the attic to each location to power each illuminator. I'm really impressed with the build quality and price point of these illuminators. I also like that the power cable is routed through the mount, so no exposed cables. The brightness is not has bright as I hoped for (had to mount 2 at location 1) to get the illumination I wanted. The illuminator is adjustable, however not as easy to adjust as I hoped. The adjustment ring is hard to adjust. I had to put a small dab of silicone lubricant on the threads. One thing I noticed is that all 4 of my illuminators have the same SN..? The red leds are visible at night. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. I have had these units for under a week with no issues, they come on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. I will update my review if I encounter any issues with these units.FOLLOW-UP 12/3/2019 I have had these IR Illuminators for 5 months now. They have performed well. I do have one small issue to report I found one of the 9 IR LEDS was not working on the first IR Illuminator that I installed in July. Even with the one dark IR LED I saw no decrease in the illumination on my back fence.I contacted Amazon and they gave me the email address to contact Tonton sales department. they replied back within 10 hours and are sending me out a replacement. ADDITIONALLY I have added another IR Illuminator in my backyard by my back door. You can view the before and after snapshots to see for yourself. I am raising Tonton from 4 stars to 5 stars because I am very pleased with the performance of these IR Illuminators and the warranty service

works well but doesn't last as long as I'd like
We purchased this back in October 2020. I worked very well illuminated the area for our Wyze V2 and V3 cameras when there wasn't enough light to keep them in color non-IR mode. Also, because insects are attracted to IR, it keeps them away from my camera when I had to rely on its IR emitter. Because of the IR frequency, you can actually see these quite well with the naked eye, which appears as an array of 8 red lights. Unfortunately, I went out last night and noticed that 4 of these 8 IR LEDs have burnt out just shy of 4 and 1/2 years of use. These have always been under cover and never exposed to the elements, but they are mounted outside. Since these are so inexpensive, I don't think it's a bad deal but not exactly a long lasting product.

throws a lot of illumination for the size
I use this to illuminate a corner just at the edge of an IR camara's effective range where motion detection was hit and miss. The illuminator casts a lot of light into that corner and really gets the job done without creating a giant hot spot, motion detection now works as it should.

Good bang for the buck
This illuminator does a great job, especially for the price. I'm using this to boost a Unifi Protect G4 Bullet. My primary reason to add an illuminator was to turn off the built-in IR. I was getting too many insects around the camera. It does a great job stretching night coverage around 80' and still does OK around 100'. Build is cheap, but again, consider what you paid. It should hold up just fine under the soffit.
