The Funny Little Woman (Picture Puffins)

My girls adore this book. The illustrations and storyline fascinate them! Very unique addition to their library.

I purchased this for my grandson who really enjoys. Used to read it to his father when he was a child and I think he enjoys it as much as his son.

Just a fun little story to read with kids.For anybody who thinks that this story is racist for some reason; I suggest that you remember that this tale is for small children and not for jaded, world-hating adults who have useless degrees in the liberal arts. It's about a little old woman who gets kidnapped by monsters and then escapes by outsmarting them. That's all, so chill out.

Loved this book as a child. Took me forever to find it/remover it’s title. But my kids love hearing it over and over again now that we have it!

Such a great book! I love the story of the brave little woman chasing her dumpling and laughing along the way. It was one of my favorite books growing up. As a hapa, I loved there was a story like this where the main character was Japanese. The illustrations are beautiful. I purchased this for a friends new baby, so hopefully his baby will grow up loving the story as much as I did.

Book arrived promptly. I love reading this charming story to my children, and to the classrooms. There are great characters, which makes it really fun for kids if you do voices when reading. The illustrations is very stylistic and beautiful.

I was delighted to find this book for my grandchildren. I used to read this to my daughters. It's unique, funny, and adds a cultural aspect - which is great.

So this lady who likes dumplings falls into a hole and is enslaved by the trolls to make them dumplings. Then she escapes stealing their magic spoon. Morally ambiguous, but fun.

I loved this book as a child and look forward to reading it with my daughter. The illustrations are wonderful.
