A Tour of The Summa

I finally got hold of my order THE TOUR OF THE SUMMA by Msgr. Paul Glenn. I love this book because this is an excellent summary of the Summa Theologica of St. Thomas Aquinas.The Book came in very good condition. Thank you very much.

Just received this book today and I'm happy I spent the money. For those looking to specialize in St. Thomas Aquinas like I am, this book is a guide to the entire Summa Theologiae. It helps you familiarize, memorize, and understand the structure and various parts of the Summa, and Msgr. Glenn does an outstanding job in distilling the main gist of the articles. As written in the preface, the book "is a condensed paraphrase of the essential teaching of the Summa."

This book presents a superb tourist's view of the scope and content of the most important of the many works by St. Thomas Aquinas, one of the greatest scholar and saint of our Mother Church.

Msrg. Glenn has a gift for taking complicated topics and making them more understandable. This book is no exception. A good companion to the actual Summa.

It's a great companion or to read on it's own. I finally am understanding Aquinas!

This is appropriately entitled "A Tour of..." and should not be used "In place of...." reading the Summa in-depth. There were times when it was handy and other times it was just adequate; perhaps best for beginners who have no knowledge of the Summa.

I've been very happy with this book, helps me to quickly scan through articles and get a basic understanding before turning to Aquinas' technical language.
