Very basic old time recipes.
I’ve tried a couple so far. Good basic recipes to start with. Today we have a wider variety of ingredients and spices available so we can add more flavours. Don’t know if I’ll ever want to or even try a roasted porcupine though!

A Lovely Little Book
If you are like me, you grew up in New England and were belittled for being Canuck or having Canuck family in the closet. As an adult, you might wonder what was so shameful and wish you knew more about a lineage hidden in time. This book will feel like a long-lost aunt and give you a peek into a past you never knew you had. I have had some of these foods and look forward to trying more.

Acadian Recipes from New Brunswick Canada
I looked for a long time for an authentic recipe cookbook from New Brunswick Canada that was written in English. These are the recipes that my Grandmother, Aunts and Mom use to make and still make. The recipes are really good.If you are from the area of Moncton or the Acadian Trail this is the cookbook for you. Yummie food.

As an Acadian, I enjoy looking at old recipes and either using them as written or making healthier versions of the same things.

A Taste of Acadie (recipes)
My mom's family is from Acadia and these recipes are wonderful. I got them to make for my family the things my mom and her family (and her family before her) enjoyed. An excellent book!!

Great book, history and great recipes of the east coast
I love reading books of all kinds of cooking across my country of Canada. This one I highly recommend, gives you some history as well as some interesting recipes you wouldn’t find online or in social apps like Pinterest. If your interested in learning about the people of Acadia (New Brunswick) get this book, it’s written some years ago. I’m young but an old soul so I loved this book.

Authentic Acadian Recipes.
I bought this book to give as a gift to my cousin. Back in the 80s, I received as a wedding gift the original French copy of this book. I was so happy to find this translation as I did not know it existed. The recipes are all well described and it is nice to read about the customs and history of the food and the Acadian people.

Great Traditional Cookbook
Absolutely love this book. It has been around for decades and I am so pleased to finally have my own copy. These are traditional Acadian recipes which are easy to follow and to prepare. While I am familiar with many of the dishes, I loved reading about the background and the variations of the dishes. I truly appreciate the information / history of these dishes and how they vary from region to region. I have been using the book and the recipes I have tried have come out better than I could hope for. The directions for preparing and cooking are very clear and accurate. I would give more stars if possible!
