These are my 2nd pair of these sandals I ordered because the first pair of these sandals I ordered my usual size & they were a bit larger than expected....so this time, I ordered 1 size smaller & they fit better. Comfy, width is OK for myself and looks great! They have fairly thick rubbery soles and appears they will last for quite awhile. The upper leather straps are pretty sturdy and the buckle works great. I thought the buckle would break over time, but it's still working, but basically as the leather straps do stretch a bit over time, now I just basically slide the sandals on without unbuckling the straps anymore. Very comfortable and I been wearing them a lot for the past year or two now. I gave these sandals 5 stars.

The name and description may seem a little hokey but if you are looking for an old-fashioned pair of leather sandals you won't find any better than these. They have a rubber bottom sole that cushions your step, has good traction even when wet, and seems to wear forever; a quality leather top sole that prevents rubber 'burn' on the soles of your feet; and quality leather straps. I bought a pair 2 years ago that I literally have worn every day, all day. The straps are a little scuffed but other than that they look like they have at least another two years in them. I bought another pair for 'dress'.A couple pieces of advise: the last pair shipped from Jerusalem and shipping defaulted to second day air . . . which cost more than the sandals. I caught it, contacted them via email, and they changed shipping to a slower and much more affordable rate. Sizing is European. I wear a 10 1/2 US. My first pair was size 44 which was a little large, this time I ordered 43 which just right.Update: I just bought my third pair. I received my first pair in January of 2012 which means it took 3 1/2 years to go through 2 pair. I wear them them every day. Hard to beat.

I really enjoy the style of the sandal. I haven’t noticed any paint transfer like some have mentioned. The buckle is cheap, but it will do. The leather is not super soft, but it breaks in if you wear them around the house with socks for a few days before sporting them out in public. I’m a size 13, but have wide feet, so I ordered the European equivalent to size 15 and they are perfect. I got lucky with my guess. I would say get two sizes up for a wide foot and even a size up for a narrow foot.I really do enjoy this style and appreciate how many notches the ankle strap has to really let you adjust the tightness. My biggest complaint is the leather is not soft and cheap buckle. But they’re comfortable enough.I guess they were only $50 though. I have other men’s fashion sandals that are much more comfortable, but they were also $150. You get what you pay for. But again, these are pretty good to me.If you are the type of guy that wears $5 old navy rubber flip flops, and flip flops typically no more than $35, you should be fine with these. If you frequent Brooke’s brothers or Kenneth Cole for your fashion sandals, these may not be for you.I, personally, would recommend them though.

While I've only worn them inside so far (it's winter here) I love they way they feel underfoot. I had this type of sandals in the 1980s and never got blisters on the bottom of my feet which happens with the modern synthetic footbeds. They were quite tight out of the box but are already beginning to stretch. My only quibble is that the strap is not continuous so you can't pull it around to loosed and then tighten as it wears. I usually wear a 7.5 and so I had to go with the 7/7.5 which is why they are a bit tight out of the box not too bad and I have a wide foot. I have high hopes for these sandals.

I am very picky about footwear (I own a pair of Rothy's and 1 paid of Berks... so this would be my 3rd pair of shoes). I liked the design and they appeared pretty durable and well made. When I got them, I realized that the leather was really going to take some time to break in. It was very stiff and dug into the top of my foot. They are not something I would wear out for even a short walk for fear that they would really start hurting. I even thought about returning them, but since they appear to simply need time to break in, I am going to use some leather oil and just wear them now and again around the house. They are half the price of my others shoes and pretty good value in comparison to other similar products.

I really like these. I’m kind of a boho dresser, and I like the style. They fit as expected, and seem well made. I haven’t had them long enough to give an honest review about that, but they’re not cheaply made, let’s put it that way. I love them. And the price is GREAT. I’m going to be definitely be getting a couple more pairs.

I have different styles in these shoes and love them all. My old ones show no more wear than my new ones. I have waded through water and they dry out great. It seems to me if they feel a bit snug in an area, I get them wet and walk around in them and that loosens them up. However if they feel a bit looser than I like I get them wet and let them dry alone out in the sun. But have had real good wear with these. Generally they maintain their cut well and are like anything of good quality leather, the more you wear them, the better they get. Best shoe bargain and quality you will find anywhere. Size is accurate.
