Works well but expensive and cartridges don’t last long!

I had the original version of this where you could refill the collar with an aerosol, and it was fantastic. However, this version is terrible. It isn't very sensitive, and using this on my dog whilst doing the school run only, he wears it for a maximum of an hour a day. Now I know he doesn't bark constantly whilst I'm out as we have a camera, yet the refill has never lasted more than 3 days! Waste of money in my opinion.

I think this is a lifesaver gadget to have when you have barking dogs at home, is really humane and effective. BUT, cartridges are so so so hard to find, we call the customer support centre just to find they are running out of primary material so they just have emergency stock... if you can buy the one that is rechargeable with the can would be better, I didn't because it was not available for mid-size dogs. I really love this product and we were able to make an order straight from the company, but I'm scared of not being able to use it at some point... and what their response will be.

I bought this product a while ago, but didn’t use it as I thought it was a waste of time, how wrong could I have been ....I have been using it for a week now and we are having great results. I feel this wouldn’t work on all dogs, we have three and I think it is working so well on the youngest one as he is very scared, the spray and the noise of it spraying scares him. The other two dogs , I don’t think would be overly bothered by it. Great product thought, kicking myself that I didn’t use it sooner.

If you really have to use a device to stop your dog barking, rather than training. Then this PetSafe Spray Bark Collar is better than many options. It doesn't hurt the dog, but instead sprays a distracting aerosol each time it senses the dog barking. My neighbor has a rescue terrier cross that does not stop barking (or at least that how she feels) and after trying various methods over the last year or so, we suggested she try this. The result, after only about three days, is that it has reduced her dog's barking greatly while at home. It quickly learnt not to bark for attention or while playing. Nor does he bark every time a sparrow visits the garden. He still barks in these situations when he's obviously forgotten about the spray, but everyone's hoping the non-barking will eventually become the habit and the collar can eventually be removed. Outside on walks, etc his urge to bark at every person or dog he comes across hasn't so far diminished at all, despite wearing the collar for the past 10 days or so. But hey ho every dog is different.

Unfortunately I can't give this zero stars but that's what it deserves. I had 4 of these through Amazon returns process and it was the same for each one.You charge it for 6 hours, it lasts 4 days and then you can't recharge it. I don't know whether it's water or dirt ingress but it's flawed by design. What dog doesn't get wet or dirty?The cartridge system seems like an expensive way of refilling this collar as well. 1 cartridge in the 4 day period seems to be excessive and my dog doesn't even bark that much, we only use it to stop him barking when he's out and sees other dogs.When it worked it did effectively control the barking but not much point if you can only use it once. I've reverted to the older version which uses batteries and a bottle refill and it's much better.

Not really fit for purpose in that the spray is expensive and runs out quickly. Not half as good as the Aboistop ones I had previously. Very disappointed
