Mary Lou Retton: America's Sweetheart: GymnStars Volume 5

I purchased this book because my little gymnast wanted to write her "biography book report" on Mary Lou Retton. All the kids enjoyed the book. I liked the lessons about family, sacrifice, sportsmanship, and hard work.

My daughter in 3rd grade had to do a book report on a famous person. This book was excellent. I already loved Mary Lou Retton so learning more about her was great fun and accomplished our goal of a great book report.

I bought it for a school project for my oldest, and it was a great read!

I think this will be a great gift for my granddaughter. She is a good reader and loves gymnastics. Many have forgotten about Mary Lou, but she has always been my favorite.
