There's some magic in the wavy metal blade.
I'm only two hours into this thing. There is a learning curve, but a happy one.If you have an electric weed wacker, you know you can always shred a lot of fishing line to get these weeds at the risk of flinging gravel into someone's eye. This is more fun and meditative--you have to choose your attack angle carefully and it's asymetrical for right-handed use. There's a Tom Sawyer effect--people watching you weed will grab the tool from you to show you how it's done.At first, I didn't understand why the stainless steel blade was wavy. It allows the metal to be very thin and sharp, while the overall blade is strong but flexible. The wavy edge seems to reduce friction when scraping at a low angle, bouncing over tiny gravel rather than catching on everything it meets. Where the road meets the curb, the overall thickness prevents it from dropping into and binding in the crevice so easily. It also seems to sharpen itself in use.One caution--if you are weeding where someone has applied asphalt crack filler that stays flexible in hot weather, this may slice into it.Very nice handle. The whole tool is made in Japan.*****************EDIT...I was Prime Day surfing and this deserves a look:"3-in-1 Crack Weeder & Moss Remover Brush" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DHKW186M/The working end is a thin talon-shaped knife for scraping between pavers and the back holds a metal-bristle scrub brush. The bristles are angled to inward to clear out wider cracks, sweep loose debris, or attack surface moss.

GREAT for edging.
I unbent the corner so I can have a fully flat blade which is perfect for edging around pavers, brick, and stone walkways.

Extremely happy once I figured it out
We live in an area that requires permeable pavers, which is good for the ecology but bad for weeding. We don't use pesticides on our small lawn, so weeds growing between the pavers and potentially taking over is a constant problem. Plus, the weeds around here are not terribly benign. I've been looking for something that wouldn't require crouching or kneeling, but would still break up the roots of weeds. Very happy with this tool. You have to place it along the cracks between pavers, or the space between sidewalk/concrete and anything else. Once placed, rocking back and forth works if there's room. If not, forcing a corner of it slightly downward, then rocking or pushing back and forth works.I wish the actual blade felt a little sturdier, but other than that I'm really happy with this.

The best!
It is lightweight, sharp and works like a dream. Clean up garden pathways and also dig up areas where there are weeds.

It's good but...
I used this tool on my driveway, sidewalk, and pavers. It worked well. I'm 5'2 and feel like the handle is a good length. It's lightweight without feeling flimsy. One corner did bend a bit. It's still useable, but it does make me wonder how long it will last.My big disappointment is the lack of replacement blades. One of the reasons I bought it was because I thought the blade could be swapped out. It seems like it's possible but I can't find a replacement blade anywhere online. If I have to buy a whole new tool when the blade is worn out, I'd say it's not really a good value.

wish i bought a long time ago
the greatest thing ever invented! you don't have to break your back weeding off of concrete. this tool really works in a snap. just do a jerking motion and use common sense of the direction and you'll see how fast and easy it is. it's got a little weight to it because of the wood handle, but i think it's necessary for leverage. the entire tool is sturdy and well-made. the blade is a rippled, japan made, stainless steel which makes lifting the weeds up easy. no corners were cut in quality. it's worth every penny.

Dies Not Work
Was severely excited and ordered to have for Spring. Spring came and this item did not work on any any like situations shown in the video.Did not cut ..scrape or move anything ..just rolls right over the top of everything.Total waste of my money and it was too late to return.

The amount of time it takes me to complete my weeding.
Sorry, I took so long to complete this as this is the first time I have had to unpack the container and to use it. I just LOVED this weeding tool! At first, I was afraid to use it for fear it would break, but it has gone beyond my greatest expectations in weeding my yard. I'm so glad I ordered the extra blades as well. I used to hate to weed because I had to go down on my hands and knees to cut away the roots from the plant, not anymore! I don't have the best knees, so sitting on a stool and pushing the Nisaku under the weeds to separate the roots from the plant, leaving me to pick up the expelled plant was awesome. My next investment will be the Nisaku with the short handle. Again, thank you for sending me this wonderful tool.
