SHame this additional kit doesnt come with the game, but great that it's an added extra you can buy.The black wooden squares do stand up perfect so the rack isn't essential it's just nice to have and easier for the kids to play as our 7 year old kept knocking her ones over so this stops that.

Fantastic game for all ages 6+. Not particularly portable, quite a big box and you need a table space to play it. Quite easy to learn, but the more you play you can learn strategies.

It's a shame that you have to purchase the basic stands as a separate item. However, I have now purchased 3 of these games as they're easy to learn but not so easy to win! Enjoyed by everyone who plays it and not too protracted a game. Thoroughly recommended.

Sturdy wooden stands with a pad for keeping score and a branded pencil. Basic stuff but this should really be part of the base game. You'll be storing them in the base box anyway. While the score pad and pencil are nice to have, the stands for the tiles are a glaring omission from the base game

We are a family mad about Qwirkle! I have gifted so many to friends and family. This is an addition to the fun. The tiles holder is like the ones for Scrabble. This is like an accessory to the game. Do you need it? Most certainly not, but if you enjoy the game so much, it does add to the fun. If you play Scrabble you understand, there is no need for accessories, but most definitely adds to the enjoyment of playing. It all fits in the original box. Although we have it in a drawstring bag, always ready to take on trips or just have a games night in. It is a lovely gift for a Qwirkle fun.
