Excellent and very versatile...
The media could not be loaded. Please check out the video to get a full overview. In this written portion I'm just going to highlight a few things.First, I really like this multifunction shovel. I've found a bunch of uses for it already and that doesn't even include the usefulness in a survival or emergency situation. Yeacool packs a ton of different features into this tool. All of them packed conveniently into a shovel. As I mentioned in the video, its is large and feels durable. I've used it some and to this point I've had no issues with its durability. Just remember, it is a multifunction tool. It's not purely a shovel or purely a knife or purely a spear, but it can be used for each of these functions. None of those tools is as good as one designed solely for one function but for a multitool designed for many functions, it works great.I can't compare it to any other companies products of similar nature but I can say that this one is good and its features work as designed and as expected. I was hesitant about Yeacool's stuff at first because I didn't know anything about them but I have two of their products now and both have been excellent.Hope the review helps.

A survivalist's Survival Shovel
WOW! I just received what I like to call a “Survivalist’s Survival Shovel.” This military multi-tool Folding Shovel is like a pocket full of silver – love having it. It’s a complete fold-able shovel with lots of additional equipment packaged in the handles. I needed all this equipment to supplements my get-out of trouble gear, but figured I’d have to buy all this independently. Discovered there more there than I hoped for when I opened it. I drive a CJ-7 so space is limited, but I still need functional gear in case I get stuck, and the gear has got to work. All the accessories mean I’m good. The handles are actually thick tubular stock and assembled it has a great solid feeling. The handles have grips so I can lock it in. I dug a little, split some 3” logs, used the pick and ice breaker last weekend. The LED light it has throws out a bright beam and used AA batteries, which is all I carry [KISS principle for survival]. The ferro rod threw a shower of sparks to start my camp fire, and the whistle blew loud. Love the button compass. I checked the window breaker and driver bits but not had a chance to test them yet. Everything works like Bob’s Your Uncle! I can store additional stuff inside the handles if needed, and I plan to. I just need to get some round containers, fill them and slip-em in [think back-up fire starter materials, .22LR, duct tape, other…]. I’d rate this a top item for anyone heading outdoors or needing a compact rugged multi-tool folding shovel. Can’t realty find an issue with it except I forgot to mention it comes w/a wire saw, knife and packs into a small canvas pack. This thing has more possibilities than I can’t imagine. Rating: 5 brews out of 5.

Which it just had one function that it was excellent at
While the materials that this shovel is made of are of high quality, focusing on including all the other add-on gadgets was a mistake in my opinion. I would never rely on the compass, whistle, flashlight, Philips screw driver tips etc ... I have the proper applications for those in my backpack. The shovel does did well, but all of the extensions loosen up quickly as you are working, so you find yourself constantly retightening them. I found a solution for that, but many people would find that solution unreasonable. I wish I could buy a few extra extensions, because with another foot or two of length, shoveling would be much easier on my back. All things considered, it's a very good shovel and I would recommend it.

Appears to be a bargain
I am pleasantly surprised by this kit. It appears to be well-made as all components are steel. It didn't come with instructions, which almost made the unpacking of it entertaining because you keep discovering different accessories as you take everything apart. The footprint of the kit is also nice, as the case with everything in it is about the size of a woman's purse. The kit also has a flashlight that takes one AAA battery. It will be interesting to see how it holds up when I actually get around to sawing wood or digging a firepit, but my first impressions are it will hold up just fine. The main criticism I have is the shovel head should come with a proper cover as the blade and the saw on the edges are very sharp. Overall though, great purchase and I'm pleased.

Zombie Apocalypse Item!
In the event of a zombie apocalypse, this would be my signature item. ;) It's not just some toy, but a sturdy, practical, steel tool. I have put it to use, and it does a great job digging through rocky, rooted soil. I'm keeping it in my car in case I need to dig the tires out of mud or snow, or need a flashlight, or a screwdriver, or an impromptu zombie bashing weapon. I'm kidding about the zombies, of course, but I don't mind having this item handy if I (a lone female) have a blowout on some sketchy back road. Great purchase.

Very sturdy. versatile.
I have rage problems and broke it against a rock. Do not try that at home nor outside nor anywhere. don't a stoopid beach like me. no pieces landed on my body but it took me a couple hits to break it. VERY STURDY. and took my rage away too. 100% recxomend. very versatile but on the heavier side. U can certainly leave some components back home if u know the terrains u are going.

Bought this as a Christmas gift. I haven’t used it but upon inspecting it it appears to be of good quality.
