Good info
Good explanation of gun facts and detailed descriptions of actions, ammo, etc. A little heavy on chauvinistic gun culture commentary. But was more informative than other books I've looked at.

good info but not broad enough.
I'm assuming that the author lives in Arkansas as there was lots of info on the laws in that state but not much on other states.

An absolute Must Have!!
my name is Michael long and I am a Concealed Handgun Safety Instructor for the state of Arkansas. This book is a must have item if you are serious about wanting to carry a gun for self preservation. This year alone (2013) I have had over 600 students and I have recommended this book to every one of them. I wouldn't do this if I wasn't 100% satisfied with Mr. Hammond Satterfield's book.

comprehensive book
This is a good book, especially for new shooters/gun owners. It is very comprehensive and covers many things not taught in concealed carry classes. I recommend it.

Guns and Roses
Inciteful book for the handgun user. I appreciate the chapter "Letter to the Ladies," should bring ease for the woman with reservations on owning and operating a weapon.
