Adorable
I was weary about having live shrimp shipped to me, for many reasons. But the condition of the fish at my local pet store were appalling and no other place carried the shrimp I wanted, so I gave in and bought the shrimp off amazon.I chose Aquatic Arts amazon store because I had already bought some marimo from them before and they did a great job then so I trusted they'd be able to send me the shrimp.I was prepared for dead shrimp. With how delivery people often treat packages, I was worried and prepped for DOAs. Luckily he didn't toss the box at my door like they like to do and the Shrimp were all alive and very energetic. I did a drip method instead of a floating bag method when acclimation. I placed them in a large bowl with their old water, waited for temps to match their future home's water then started to siphon drip tank water into the bowl. There was no food source in the bowl so I put a small shrimp pellet in and watched them flock to it. At one point one of the shrimp claimed the pellet as theirs and would run away from the others with it, if approached. Eventually a game of Tug-of-Pellet started and I found it adorable. Slowly and as careful as possible I added them to their new home. I really enjoy my new pets, especially when they feel like chasing after bubbles and using the pothos root system as a jungle gym.My original plan in buying these shrimp was to make a self sustaining eco system for my Pothos to prosper from, but these shrimp became more than a convenience the moment I saw them. They became part of the family, even the cats enjoy watching them skitter about.Aquatic Arts took great care to ship these little ones to me safely, sent information via email and added care information to the package on top of that. Their official website is also full of care information and is easy to navigate. They even added a few extra shrimp to my order which was nice.If you want happy, healthy, active shrimp for your tank and can't get them else where or don't want to support the fish abuse some pet stores go through, this is where you'll want to buy from.

Beautiful and lively! I'm in love with my shrimp!
Aquatic arts really is the best there is. Great customer service and great products and tank mates! You are getting quality when ordering from here. I never had anything other than fish and I tried ordering amanos because I have a betta and figured.. let's get a friend. this little guy shows up and I'm like "eh"... but after acclimating and getting him ready... he went in and just made such a presentation I instantly fell in love. He is so adorable to watch and it's so amazing to see him eating and cleaning himself off and walking around and finding himself a comfy spot in the cholla wood. He is really a great roomie and he never complains! And my betta doesn't seem to mind... they've been living together for 6 months.

Really well packaged
Styrofoam box with ice pack inside. Summer in Georgia, yet all 5 shrimp arrived alive and swam right off after I drip acclimated them according to the detailed instructions included. Very happy with purchase.

healthy viable shrimp
Packaging was great and the shrimp arrived healthy. I ordered 1 and received 2 shrimp. I did get snails along with the shrimp so be careful with your additions of the animals to your tank

Healthy active shrimp
Both shrimp came in perfect condition although they were too small to go in my 20 gallon so I had to create an emergency tank for them.

Tiny
Not going to order on-line for fish again. The cost double because there live (barely) and OMG they were so tiny, I lost 2 right off the bat and had to put them in a separate tank because of there size. It is month 2 and I will wait one more month to transfer to other tank
