Odd use but good product
I didn't use this for as a fish finder mount. I removed the top & mounted a couple of lights--- it worked awesome for that purpose because now I'm able to put interior lights in rod holders for night fishing. This worked great for that purpose actually

Scotty fishfinder mount
Got the mount to use on my fishing kayak. I have a Lowrance Mark 4 GPS/fishfinder to install. with the extra holes in base you could easily bolt the base of the Lowrance on by mounting the base diagonally. No holes to drill,,,a big plus!!! Base of mount can be mounted in a on top position or a side mount position. I used the side mount position to attach to side of console in the kayak. Also by using a Scotty mount all my other Scotty attachments interchange (EX{Rod holder, bait tray, or multiple rod holder cross baar. A great product to solve a problem of mounting electronics on marine vehicles.

Pimping my Yak
Recently I purchased a new kayak to do some fishing in. Over the pass few weeks I have purchased a number of items to help me outfit my kayak for fishing.This item came in relatively fast after I ordered it on line. I have attached it to my slide trax system and currently I have one of my fish finders attached to it.All of the items associated with the slide trax system are sturdy, well built and a must when outfitting your yak.

I made it fit the Helix
It’s Amazon so it arrived on time. It doesn’t fit the Humminbird Helix but I knew that in advance so it was not a problem making an adjustment. Once the adjustment was made I have to say the swivel works smooth as silk and maintains position.

It's built well. But said fit most finders. Have a humming bird helix 5 had to make a wood base to adapt it to the finder

Unit was returned because......
Fishfinder mount with Side/Deck mount is a great piece of equipment, Unfortunately when it came to mounting on the boat it got in the way of the rails for the folding bimini. The units were sent back and replaced with a Fishfinder mount with flush deck mounts,

Good for kayak mount
this deck mount is sturdier that I had expected - I think it will last a long time - we bought this to mount on a kayak - this product came with nuts and bolts
