Marumi77mm Super DHG Filter UV L390 MC Hard Coating Easy Clean 77 made in JAPAN

Always work as should. I like to do things right from the camera just my way. Yes there is that Well extra glass etc.

I took very good care of my lens, but I was always skeptical when people said I should put a filter on my lens for protection. I bought Nikon's NC filters (expensive), but I end up taking away the glasses of the filters put only the metal rings on. I could not stand the filters getting dirty and scratches. I bought the 52mm version of the Marumi filters a year ago, it is still as clean and as good as new. The Marumi 77mm Super DHG Filter UV L390 MC if for my Sigma 50 mm 1.4. When I put it on, it bond with the lens like it is part of the lens and build for the lens. Same quality and same feel. It is not always like that. I will keep it on for the life time of the lens.

Light and thin, good for wide angle lens.Its little bluish when compared to same quality B+W uv filter. Quality wise its real close, but price wise Marumi is more reasonable. Highly recomended.

I tested the following 77mm UV filters using Nikon D700 with 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II AF-S lens.Marumi DHGMarumi DHG SuperHoya PRO1 DigitalI took 5 pictures for each filter and no filter with the same scenes and explosure.The results for Marumi DHG and Marumi DHG Super had no visual differences, and were very close to the ones without filter. As expected, the ones without filter were the best and had more details if you looked at the pictures side by side. According to the Marumi web site, the Super version is water and oil proof, but the price is almost double.The pictures with Hoya filter was a lot darker, and color was distorted. I returned the filter the next day.

I have seen a reduction of contrast with this filter. Images were take with and without the filter. Black levels were higher and white levels were lower with the filter. It is not dirty and has no visible defects.

This seems well constructed and I can not see the difference in shots when used on a 70-300 tamron di af etc new lens for a sony camera. Shot same color in auto correct off mode and did not see any abberation or color difference. No convergence difference that I could see either. Some new filters say cleaning is a problem. I bought this one because others say it is easy to clean. I did not delibertly smudge the filter to test this though. Seems like a great product so far.

at 1/3 the price of the competing model and 101% the transmissivity of the competing model this is a find. Only issue is the aluminium threads. The competition has brass threads and they don't get stuck. Aluminium seems to be stickable. Best to not tighten Just pretend you are fastening a little bird and loosen or remove when you finish and this will last a lifetime without becomming stuck on. Anyhow the specs and reviews for this pan out. It's like it isn't there.

If one wanted to complain about something with this filter, the fact that the frame is made from aluminum would be it. We have several different high end filters on various lenses, and this one, as far as I can tell, is as good as any of them.From what I understand, this is the only series from Marumi that one can clean, without the possibility of the coating rubbing off.Very happy with their filters and will be buying more.

It fits perfectly. I am using as lens protection primarily. Screw threads seem well engineered, comes on and off without problems.

Top Qualität "Made in Japan", stabile matte Fassung und Mehrschicht-Vergütung. Ist bei mir als Objektivschutz in Verwendung, kann keinen Unterschied mit oder ohne feststellen - perfekt!
