Akua Pin Press, 20 Inch Manual Printing Press - Portable Monotype & Drypoint Press with All-Metal Construction

I like everything, dislike nothing. It does such a wonderful job. So far I’ve used the Pin Press with mounted linos, unmounted linos, etched plastic and Copper. It has taken awhile for me to find the right pressure, not too much is actually needed for beautiful prints. I was hesitant to spend the money on the press but I am very pleased and no regrets. It also is a cool piece of sculpture and it doesn’t roll off the table. Oh Yeah, it is wide enough to print large pieces.

This is a perfect tool for hand printing everything from mono prints to relief plates.

I have to really press hard to get a good monotype, but the results aren’t bad. So far it works best with smooth copy paper. For other paper not so well. I may have to use more ink than I’m used to for heavier paper.

Love this for drypoint etching prints. Easy to store in tiny studio. Takes some practice to get right pressure.

I purchased this Pin press so I could do some monotyping at home. It is beautifully made, hefty, and works great on my glass slab. Highly recommend!

It is good for block printing only easy to Cary on flights .it is not a real substitute for "real" press in terms of presser specially for intaglio prints
