THIS TIME IT'S FOR REAL!
A book that isn't like the myriad of diet books & workout videos out there! Instantly, you loose the guilt and complexity of diet failures! There's lots of love in this book that's easily transferred to the reader to achieve greater understanding & love for our own spirit/soul & bodies. There is no favorite chapter in this book because each one opens a door of ah-ha moments that fit perfectly with everyday scenarios. I read the book in 2 days....couldn't put it down....didn't WANT to put it down! Permission to EMBRACE who I am...where I am AT THIS MOMENT! The ENLIGHTENMENT & PURITY introduced with simple explanations & visualizations take away the need for exhausting medical & soul searches about "what's happening to my body?" I GOT THE MESSAGE THIS TIME & it's a message that easy to apply with a DAILY awareness that I enjoy. Here's to a new healthy life that makes me happier than I could ever imagine....ps: When I made CONSCIOUS decisions about what no longer works with my new lifestyle, I had even more enjoyment by packing brown bag lunches and finding those that were homeless to distribute the much wanted food that no longer worked with my own awarenesses. Thank you Deepak Chopra!!!

This book makes all kinds of sense to me. Deepak Chopra has hit on what SHOULD be obvious...that many of us use food to try to satisfy other needs besides hunger. And this gets us into trouble! His hypothesis-that our bodies know what they want naturally and will return to health if we listen to them-is accompanied by practical advice and a plan to get yourself back to the place where we naturally and easily lose weight and enjoy good health. It's a very interesting book that brings into play the ancient Indian practice of Ayurveda and asks us to pay attention. No gimmicks, no special foods or supplements required, and it puts the power to be healthy back into your hands. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

Fantastic. If you have any weight problems
Fantastic. If you have any weight problems, this is the best book in the world! I have read a couple or more diet books, and this is the absolute BEST!Why? you ask! Because he talks about you doing what is best for you. He offers you clear and supported explanations for why you're overeating and/or how you can lose the weight. He talks you through this conundrum with more sense and instaruction than any other diet book I've ever read. I'm old.... And he does this by giving you skills and encouraging you in the most caring approach to urge you/us to love ourselves. You will learn a lot. And, if you do what he suggests, you will succeed. A balanced approach to living a healthy life (and losing the weight you don't need)
Once again Deepak Chopra shows us how to manage our health and come back to what's important.Just the title alone is helpful. When I am feeling stressed, or lonely, or thirsty, or worried, it's easy to turn to food for comfort and distraction. When I ask myself, "What am I hungry for?" I have an opportunity to understand my feelings and discover what I need. His book offers a wonderful combination or science, medicine, mindfulness, and yummy recipes for good health. Try his simple technique of S-T-O-P: Stop what you are doing, Take a minute breathing break, Observe the bodily sensation of hunger, and Proceed with awareness.Thank you Deepak for your dedication to health and well-being.Rona Renner, RNAuthor of "Is That Me Yelling?"

It's OK
This is a good book but I have recently cut out bread and grains (and have cut back a lot on sugar) and that in and of itself has removed my food cravings. I've been losing 1-2 lbs a week just from that and I'm not hungry and don't feel deprived. If you are going to buy this book because you think you are an emotional eater, try cutting the bread, grains, and sugar and see if that solves it. I thought I was just a pig with no self-control, now I realize I was just on a sugar roller-coaster. Try reading Wheat Belly or Grain Brain instead.

Fufillment is the path to weight loss.
Its disguised as a diet book, but in reality its a book about self "fufillment". Like I'm sure so many people in the world do, when they get stressed, they turn to food.This book opened my eyes to the habits that probably 90% of people do. Instead of eating to fufill a need, because we're bored, angry, tired, or depressed, Deepak tells you to take a step back, take a deep breath and do some soul searching "what do I really want with my life?" .Don't get me wrong there's plenty of diet advice.... Deepak gets you to be aware of what you eat, and that you're allowed to eat crappy food every once in a while. Cold turkey NEVER works when dieting, it only leads to crash and burn.Overall amazing book and made me buy some of his other work.

par contre excellent enregistrement et compte tenu de la qualité du contenu
J'ai débuté par acheter le coffret CD .... je connais déjà la réputation de Deepak Chopra, mais c'est un des meilleurs outils que je me suis offert ... très bien documenté, clair précis ... timbre de voix un peu monocorde, je penses que c'est en partie ou totalement la lecture du livre, par contre excellent enregistrement et compte tenu de la qualité du contenu, je ne regrette en rien mon achat ... par la suite, j'ai acheté le livre afin de pouvoir marquer mes points de repère ...
