Wow! Beautiful color
I really loved the color red velvet 1946. Exactly what I was looking for. Feels great on the lips. It is a lipstick and not a stain but lasts longer than I thought it would. I will definitely buy again and again. I’m looking forward to the other colors too

Perfect, Moisturizing Color!
I purchased Dusty Rose along with Victory Red and Red Hot Red, fully expecting to like the reds better since that's the color I usually wear. To my surprise I fell in love with Dusty Rose after the first day, and it's now my favorite color! After applying two coats it was darker than I had expected, but very flattering. It's wonderfully pigmented and its staying power is a bit better than Victory Red and Red Hot Red, but don't expect it to last through a meal. You'll definitely need touch-ups throughout the day if you eat/drink, but otherwise the vividness lasts the majority of the day.The best part of this lipstick (IMO) is how moisturized my lips still feel after wearing it all day. I loathe the feeling of dry lips, and my previous lipsticks dried them out terribly. The beautiful color, semi-matte finish, and moisturizing properties of these lipsticks will keep me coming back to Besame!

I couldn't Resist this fantastic lipstick
I have been wearing this brand of lipstick since the 90s. I love the historic colors. The texture and shape of the lipstick allows me to do perfect lips! The formulation stays on well but doesn't chap my lips- even in hot weather! I would strongly recommend this lipstick for anyone who wants a luxurious red lip.

Glad I finally indulged
I've been lusting over the entire line of Besame products for ages, but had always held off because spending more than 20 dollars on a lipstick that's on the small size seemed a bit indulgent to me. Not to say I don't purchase high-end cosmetics. I generally have to because my face and eyes are so sensitive that most drug store items don't really cut it.My favorite lipstick is Studded kiss by Kat von D which has a price point of about 20 dollars normally. It's creamy, long lasting, smells great, is cruelty free, great pigment, large selection of colors, and I find a tube lasts me a long time. Well worth the expense. This lipstick compares very well to that, and I expect it will last a while as well. Kat von D's red selection is fine, but it doesn't compare to the available reds in the Besame range. I love the era reproduction colors. The formula is heavily pigmented and long lasting (you should follow the instructions that come with the tube for best results. There's a learning curve with the shape of the product, and you really do need to blot. Makes sense. So did your grandmother!) It goes on in one coat. It feels lovely on. There's also the more ephemeral part about getting to use such a beautiful, glamorous product. My application of this involved a dab of foundation around the edges of my lips, carefully outlining with the corner, then filling in with little downward strokes from the center out. I blotted, straightened the edges, and dabbed a bit more on in the center of my lips. It looks lovely and has lasted through coffee and meetings so far. As with any lipstick, if you hork down a slice of pizza, it's going to come off. Oil will do that. But if you're just going about your day, you'll have great color throughout.

Red Velvet Lipstick
I ordered this lipstick in the shade “Red Velvet” after seeing it around online in various vintage themed reviews, and hearing that it was the color they used for Peggy Carter’s iconic red lipstick. The color itself is a beautiful bright red, and the packaging is absolutely lovely. Aside from those two factors, I am greatly disappointed by the product. The formula smears worse than any other lipstick I’ve had- it doesn’t dry on the lips the way most lipsticks tend to, and remains a strange tacky texture on the lips for hours after application. This causes it to get everywhere, and it leaves bright red transfer stains on anything it touches, so if you happen to accidentally brush a finger on it, it transfers all over your skin, clothes, ect. Overall, the color and packaging are nice, and it is great for a one-time photo, but if you are looking for a durable, long-lasting lipstick, this isn’t the lipstick for you. I would recommend colorpop’s “Snow White” lipstick as a dupe of the Red Velvet color if you are looking for a cheaper alternative with a much longer-lasting formula.
