Bouncier than beauty blender, difficult to use in under-eye area
These purple-pear sponges do the job--but as far as the sponge material goes, it does not resemble the beauty blender. The sponge material is much denser and bouncier than the beauty blender. I found it difficult to use the purple pear sponge to get near my lash line to blend out concealer, a problem that I do not have with the beauty blender. However, if you plan on using this to blend out your foundation only, or you don't mind switching between two sponges/brush to blend out under-eye concealer, then this purple sponge will do the trick for foundation. The foundation blends out very well (forehead, cheeks, nose, mouth). It's winning characteristic is of course, the price. I will probably never purchase a beauty blender again--because they do not last very long and start to split in half for me at about 2.5 months. I want to try the green one now because I feel like it is better suited to the under-eye area.If you are wondering how this compares to the real techniques sponge (the orange one with one pointy side and one flat side)--it retails at about $6/per, I would say that the real techniques sponge material is closer in its feeling to the beauty blender, although, still a little stiffer/bouncier, and that I had no problem blending out under-eye concealer with that sponge. The reason I bought the 4-pack of the purple was because I was willing to take the risk of this not working with the under-eye area, and the blue sponge in the 4-multi pack was just, an odd shape and I could not conceive how anyone would need to use it. Now, if I were to repurchase from this company, I would probably purchase the 4-multi pack.

Very solid sponges
This is the second time I've purchased these. They do work quite well, especially for how much money you save compared to beautyblender. The downside is that they are cheaper in more ways than just price. The first time I used one, I accidentally ripped it somehow! It still works, but that's just a sign that the quality is a bit lower than some other sponges. These are probably still going to be my go-to sponges, because I am not sure if I can justify expensive ones. They are still much better for makeup application than standard sponges (NOTE: you want to pat / dab your makeup on, not wipe, when using this kind of sponge!).

Wonderful!
If you read the one star reviews first, like I did, you will notice that the overwhelming consensus is that these sponges are much too dense. I will say that they are indeed much more dense than a true Beauty Blender, but in my opinion the texture is not at all unpleasant like some reviewers have claimed. I think it all comes down to a matter of personal preference. If you loved the soft, light texture of the Beauty Blender these may not be for you. The firmness is more akin to memory foam, which I kind of enjoy because it almost feels like a massage. The purple pear sponge does a great job of applying my cream foundation, though I did find it slightly larger than necessary. I personally feel that they are a wonderful cosmetic sponge for the price, though maybe not a perfect substitute for the Beauty Blender.

More than worth the money you pay for it!
This sponge is nothing short of amazing. The company sends a lot of communication about the product, such as how to use and wash it, which is really helpful! I also love that it's latex-free.I apply foundation or BB cream to my face and stipple with a dampened sponge it as recommended, and it works wonderfully. I am able to achieve a sheer, natural finish, while still obtaining an evened out complexion. I have tried to use the sponge dry, and I may be doing something wrong as the sponge pretty much just sucks up product.I like using Ivory soap to wash it, and I highly recommend using olive oil! It's a little hard for me to wash, but I suspect that it's more the product I use rather than the sponge itself.

Work great, I use one a month and keep them on subscribe and save. They would probably last longer than a month but I have long nails and I tend to accidentally scratch/cut them. Also, I do my makeup in the car a good bit, meaning they get saturated with makeup rather than water. Still, as rough as I am on them, they hold up and work great. Plus, the price is excellent.

I was a little skeptical when purchasing these sponges since I already have two Beauty Blenders but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! They are a bit more dense than the Beauty Blender but seems to work very well! I will definitely repurchase these again.

Very nice
I've been using a makeup brush to apply foundation but decided to give these sponges a try. (Saw them in a magazine.) I got the purple ones and am very happy with the quality. I used sponges decades ago and didn't care much for them but like these. The first time I used it, it soaked up a lot of makeup, but it's not doing that now. I've only used my makeup brush twice since buying these, and I prefer the sponge.

Great investment!
I received my sponges on time and I can honestly say they are AMAZING! They are super soft and bouncy, plus the best part is the price. Each sponge is only $2.50. I will say that they should be washed carefully cause I already ripped one. Other than that I would definitely recommend because it doesn't hurt to try.PS: customer service is great
