Sturdy figurine and the model itself has great detail, you can see every muscle and ever strand of hair, every ridge in the bat wings, etc. The pictures don't do it justice. It kind of reminds me of the Thestrals from Harry Potter, if the thestral was very.. healthy. Either way, if you're looking for that, this is the closest thing you're gonna get without searching for some obscure collector's item. BUT, the paint does lack detail, the eyes and mouth are the only things that have different paint colors, aside from that completely black, no shading, not even in the hooves. They might as well have spray painted it.One thing I personally like about it is that it looks good rearing, running, or "flying". Whatever position you prefer to keep it in. I keep mine on two feet on my shelf, which I personally think looks the most natural, as it looks a bit strange as just a galloping horse.While I like the expression, it is a bit cartoony. And the foremane reminds me a bit of a pompadour-.. That's not necessarily a bad thing, and maybe it's just me, but it definitely is a thing. Wings are sturdy but may break if a collection of Harry Potter books falls over into it.Yes, I speak from personal experience.

Don't laugh, but this figurine will be one of two to stand before a funeral carriage for my Halloween décor. I found the first black Pegasus at the same time I found the carriage, but three (of the same stores) later, hadn't been able to find another. Am so glad you had it Amazon! They're going to look SO GOOD together!

This item arrived on time and in good condition. I was disappointed to learn that this unicorn was so much smaller than her other ones though. Despite this fact, the unicorn fits in well my daughter's growing unicorn/pegasus figurine collection, and she loves the way that it looks, so the size is not of any concern to me.

I like the Safari Ltd Mythical Realms creatures, I have purchased many of them and I've always been impressed with their detail, but not this time. I purchased this dark bat winged horse as a companion for my other dark colored figures; it's okay, I like the color (solid black) and the wings, but overall it's blah, it doesn't have anywhere near the detail of other creatures in the line, there's no ferocity or life to it. I'm glad I got it, but the other figures in the line are far better.

This was a great addition to a Halloween carriage. Fit perfectly and looked great.

Ich habe auf der offiziellen Safari-Seite vor ca. einem halben Jahr schon die Vorschau auf diese Figur gesehen und war von Anfang an von Idee und Umsetzung begeistert. Daher konnte ich auch den Erscheinungstermin für Deutschland kaum erwarten.Mit dieser Figur erhält man nicht nur eine sehr seltene mythologische Figur, man bekommt auch gleichzeitig die gewohnte Safari-Qualität und allein dafür lohnt sich eigentlich schon der Kauf.Zugegeben, diese düstere Darstellung eines fliegenden Pferdes ist ggf. für die Kleinsten nicht gerade zu empfehlen, da Haltung, Mimik und die fledermausartigen Flügel den Kleinen dann doch eher Angst machen könnten (daher auch "nur" 4 Sterne was den pädagogischen Wert angeht), aber für Mythologie-Fans ist dieses Pferdchen definitiv ein Muss!!Die Haltung, sowie die Details an Flügeln und Schweif schaffen zusammen mit der "Mimik" einen echt guten Gesamteindruck. Darüber hinaus steht die Figur sehr stabil und macht einen robusten Eindruck.Was die mythologischen Pferdefiguren allgemein angeht, kann ich eigentlich generell Safari nur empfehlen. Habe auch schon den Pegasus daheim, so als weißen, "netten" Kontrast zu Areion - und bin auch von diesem sehr begeistert. Das Einhorn ist auch schon auf dem Weg zu mir nach Hause und soll die Sammlung noch entsprechend ergänzen.Alles in Allem also Daumen hoch für die Safari-Pferdchen! :)

Ein sehr schön ausgearbeitetes geflügeltes Pferd, zu schade als Spielzeug. Flederflügel sind irgendwie authentischer. Habe auch die goldene Variante und dieses Pferd „Vampir“ genannt.
