Q: can these brushed be washed on the bottom rack of the dishwasher?

I wash them in the silverware tray, which is definitely on bottom rack. Brush end up!

Q: Are the handles made of plastic or also silicone? Will the handles melt if too close to a grill fire?

The handles on the basting brushes that I received are silicone. They are used when grilling (on both a gas and charcoal grill) to baste meat. Never had any problems with melting. Suspect if they were too close to the fire, they would melt.

Q: Where are these made?

I don't know. They are good quality and go in the dishwasher.
