OMG! I love them!
I know these are men's but I used convert chart to get women's sizes and the boots fit great. I bought them for my first camping trip and I wore them jogging a few times to break them in which I felt wasn't necessary after the fact. I wore with some hiking socks and the boots were very comfortable the whole four days of hiking. I love the fact that I stepped in water and my toes didn't instantly get wet. They are water resistant not water proof which is what I was wanting so that they do breathe a little. It provide great support for my ankle & my feet weren't sore at all.. The zipper on the side is my favorite part making it so easy when camping or hiking for quick removal or quickly getting them on. Once you have your laces set you don't have to keep re-lacing everytime you put your shoes on. It seems like very durable material and well worth what I paid for. They even look great with my shorty shorts! I'm usually little accident prone but they protected my feet and I actually kept my balance a lot better then when I hiked in sneakers. They were very well package and in perfect condition. I thought to buy hiking shoes from other places but I'm glad I went with these boots, price and quality are outstanding. The only thing that I was concerned about is it seemed to have a wide toe area, which I'm told is a good thing. I liked that I could still wiggle my toes but I didn't really have any issues with it, so it's probably I'm just used to my platform heels squeezing my toes together. Overall very happy with these boots and I do highly recommend them.

Great Purchase:)
First of all, I would like everyone to know that I'm ex-military. Therefore, I have worn plenty of G.I. issued combat boots. G.I. combat boots are always uncomfortable, and have the weight of a brick. These combat boots from Rothco are a godsend! They are a half a size too big but that's okay because it leaves room for some gel soles and thick socks. I just received them, and I've been walking around the house in my new boots and my underwear all morning lol. These boots are comfortable and super lightweight. The zipper is plastic but seems sturdy enough. Steal in the toe and sole! Outstanding! Only one complaint, no pull up loop on back of the boot. No biggie, I will have my local shoe repair guy add some. All in all, well worth the money. I'm going hiking in the mountains this Sunday so I will update this review to let you know how they performed. Until then, I give this boot five stars because they don't allow more then five stars:) Update: 9/9/2014 I have worn these boots for a while now. I have been hiking, camping, and just wearing them for fun. These boots are actually a size too big. So order them accordingly. These boots are tough, and comfortable. I would have paid more for them. Excellent boots, and well worth the money.

Amazing Boots
First of all these boots are actually run a size and a half or larger than your normal foot size. Over all these are amazing boots they are less bulky, lighter, more comfortable, look better, and less fatigueing than my standard army issue boots, but at the same time just as tough and water resistant. So far I have yet to use them in a paintball game but they seem promising. Also the zipper is an extremely helpful feature and is much better than jumping around the room trying to get your boots on. I highly recommend these to anyone who plays paintball or airsoft or just wants good quality boots without breaking the bank.

PERFECT Boots But Run A Little Big
These boots are awesome. They're comfortable, great support, and easy to wear all day long. The zipper, something I've never had before, is a great addition. I do have to retie my boots every once in a while (depending on the socks I wear) but most of the time I just unzip them and slip them off. One this is that they do run a little big. I wear size 10 sneakers so I ordered size 10 boots. I have PLENTY of room. So much that I usually wear a pair of cotton socks with wool over them just to make the fit right. That's my fault though. I should have researched the sizing a little more before buying. I would recommend these to anyone and I always get compliments on how nice they are. The price is right too!

Cummfy, light and durable
I was looking for a high boot for winter motorcycle riding which were light weight, not fatiguing, not uncomfortable after hours of use and easy side zipper on off feature. This boot fit the bill and much more, not to say the price was really decent. The toe area provided plenty of wiggle room, specially when I wear my heated socks over a pair of sweet socks. When riding my Road King it was easy to shift and not clumsy. The rubber sole has great gripping power, specially when I'm seated on the HD and backing it up. I'm 170# and the HD is 800# making a sure grip a big plus so as not to drop the bike. I ordered a half size larger given the two socks. If needed, I can tighten the lace to adjust for a single pair of sweet socks. I received comments of interest from my older son who is also a vet and my neighbor who is a archery hunter for wild boar.

Overall okay, but completely unsuitable for many situations.
Overall great boots to wear in warn, dry conditions or at work if you need something sturdier than regular shoes. I will note, however, it does have some flaws. 1) Mainly, they are terrible for cold weather. The insulation on these boots is terrible and feel as if they sap away heat, leaving your feet very cold. 2) The treads are very slippery on wet surfaces and offer virtually zero hold even on brittle ice. I found myself placing my footsteps with excessive caution. 3) The insole. My god, I've never seen such terrible insoles. They're thin, glued on with bulky glue that's difficult to remove, and are completely uncomfortable. I had to replace them the same day I received them. While this is, at the very least, correctable, I'm still shocked at just the terrible quality of the insoles in the first place. These boots aren't bad for the price, but I strongly suggest weighing their use to their price. These are fantastic for daily wear in dry climates or for work where slipping isn't a major hazard. However, they completely fail in wet, icy, and cold conditions. I wouldn't even take these on hiking trips due to their inability to provide acceptable grip on wet surfaces, something not worth risking on such a trip.

Sizing recommendation is spot on, amazing product.
Purchased these for $65.00 including the 3.99 shipping Saturday delivery from FedEx, no sig required through Prime. These are being sold at Army/Navy surplus stores for 89.99, which is where I first tried them on. I fit into regular width, but had to buy a wide because I wear custom orthotics from an orthopedic surgeon. I normally wear 9-9.5 and an 8 wide fit me perfectly. So you can either do as recommended and order a size down, or go to a store and try your size, half a size down, a full size down, and see which one fits, then order them on here because they are a lot cheaper. Zipper is very convenient because you can tie them up, zip them, and then to take them off and put them on from then on, you just use the zipper. They are also very light. I am use to leather farm/work boots that have the boot sewed onto the sole, and the leather would wear a hole into itself before the sole would come off the boot, so I am a little worried by military and military style boots, the majority I see have glued soles including these. I did see a couple with sewn on soles for like 150-200, but not the price I am looking to pay. I think they might hold up, they seem sturdy, if not, easy repair with shoe glue or gorrila glue.

Terrible Quality
They are comfortable and light weight but they fell apart after a few wears and they have flimsy zippers. I wanted to test them out before wearing them outdoors so I wore them to work to break them in/test them out. Within 2 weeks the stitching split on the seam that goes all the way down the back of the left boot. It was about 1/2" long. I was able to keep it from coming apart with shoe goo. After only wearing them about 7-8 times to shoot in a field and go hiking, the rubber soles on the back of the heel came separated on the left shoe. I sealed the soles back together with shoe Goo, but I would not consider these reliable or dependable and would not recommend buying them. If you plan to actually wear your boots and you want good quality, find some other ones.

Good boots
These are nice boots, they hold up well, and they are comfortable. The zipper feels good, but you need to pull both ends together pretty far. I like the light tan color of the boots. They dont have the best grip on ice. These run about a size big, still feels good loose just gives extra room for thick wool socks. Like these boots so much I bought a second pair, if you are cross shopping id also consider Bates boots, but avoid the Propper brand.

Heavy Duty
I bought these with the 5.11 tactical version and much prefer this product. The build quality is excellent, comfortable, and the zipper splits the boot making it easy to put on and off. The only point I will give the 5.11 over the Rothco is in the rain. But i don't think this "Desert Tan" boot was really built for that.

Rothco Tan Boots
Its a decent boot. Very light and great traction. The heal takes a while to break in though and will leave a blister. Also, I ordered and size 10M, and they sent a 10R which is an extra wide style so theres a bit to much wiggle room, but the size 10 is true to a size 10 though.
