Swanson UltraActivated Homocysteine 60 Veg Caps 3 Pack

An excellent choice for reducing dangerous homocysteine.
I like this product because it uses the most biologically available forms of the B vitamins B6 and B12. Older people sometimes have trouble converting the less expensive forms of the vitamins into forms the body can actually use. For this reason a high percentage of older people have low levels of these vitamins, and this causes homocysteine to build up. This product side-steps the problem of conversion.

It appears that its formulation is not correct for my particular system. I have tried similar compositions with the same results. There is an increase of random small chest pains when I take the supplement for a couple of weeks.

Best Price on Amazon for an Activated Formula
I just started taking this product about a week ago after reading http://www.amazon.com/Factor-Solution-Homocysteine-Indicator-Whether-ebook/dp/B00AU6V7HE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1423483614&sr=8-3&keywords=H+factor+solutionThis contains the active forms of the supplements which makes it a better deal especially when comparing it with other homocysteine formulas here on Amazon at this time. The only thing that seems to be lacking is Vitamin B2 (riboflavin). Magnesium glycinate and zinc would be good as well but we already take those. Also, depending on how much zinc you take and on your diet, you may need to add copper.I just had my homocysteine levels checked and while not extremely high, they are higher than optimal. There is some disagreement as to what optimal levels should be. The book linked above says 6 micromoles per liter or lower but other sources say this is too low. My present levels are over 11 and I plan to be retested in approximately 3 months.
