Excellent Cushion, Changed my life
This thing is great and solved a big problem for me. I'd been suffering from Sciatic nerve pain for years from sitting in that Prius of mine. The seat is firm yet gives enough for a smooth ride. I use it in my car. If you're taller than 5"7 and drive a small vehicle, it might sit too high, but it's worth ducking when I get in, for me to have no more pain after a commute.

Not just for wheelchairs.
Great cushion and not just for wheelchairs. Got one for my husband for Christmas not knowing it was a wheelchair cushion and it worked wonderful for him to have that extra cushion beneath his bottom on the couch and easier for him to get up from a seated position because that's hard for him. He loves it, so comfortable and cushy!! I borrowed it one day for my office chair because I needed the height to do a video, and what a difference!! So, I ordered one for myself as well. It is good quality, no slipping. By the way, it doesn't flatten out when you sit on it or otherwise and it is truly a gel cushion! It is well worth the price and so much more!!!

A Solid Option for Those with Minor Needs for Pressure Relief
If you're a wheelchair user, you already know that the entire world is pretty much ready to rip you off in the name of supposedly keeping you healthier. Wheelchairs are super expensive, yet break down easily. Wheelchair repairs are so specific that you can't really go anywhere else but a durable medical equipment provider to get repairs AND if you do it often invalidates your already flimsy warranty.Basically, it's hard being a wheelchair user.As nearly all wheelchair users know, you can easily spend several hundred dollars on a quality wheelchair cushion that provides appropriate support. You can buy the cheaper ones, of course, but they're often ineffective and lack durability.I've been exploring alternatives as I've struggled with 1-2 of the well-known national brands of cushions and I've been hoping to find an affordable option. The first thing to note with this Everlasting Comfort Gel Memory Foam Cushion is that it's pretty clearly an entry-level option offering reasonable support for those with fairly minor-to-moderate pressure relief needs. This is given away in subtle ways by the images - an older, facility-type chair and/or a motorized scooter offering an indication that this cushion really is designed for the less active wheelchair user.If you have high-level pressure sore/ulcer relief needs, this is simply not an appropriate cushion. While it's superior to many that I've tried, it still lacks some of the necessary components for successful, long-term pressure relief for those who are active wheelchair users. That should be obvious given its price point, however, it's worth stating clearly. This cushion will be most appropriate for more casual wheelchair users or those with a less active lifestyle. This cushion is an Amazon's Choice in wheelchair cushions. While it may sound like I'm beating up on the cushion, notice that I still give it 4-stars and I believe it's one of the better entry-level cushions on the market. I'm glad I purchased it and I will most definitely use it. I simply wouldn't use it on my heavy wheelchair-use days or on those days when I really need a lot of support. This cushion measures 18x17x3, a fairly close to standard size for wheelchairs. My own wheelchair is actually 18x18 and this cushion fits rather nicely. The cushion has a 3" depth - this is sort of between the usual low-profile (2") and high-profile (4"). Be aware that while the cushion does have textured nubs designed to be a non-slip bottom, these are not the same as the velcro strips that often accompany more active lifestyle chairs (again reinforcing that this cushion is designed for use with less active wheelchair users). The cushion's heat responsive technology is a nice touch and I find the memory foam gel works nicely with my body. It feels both like a cushion and yet solid and durable. The cushion cover can be removed and is machine washable. You machine was with cold water. The cushion cover is also dryer safe. NOTE: The cushion itself is not. This cushion is latex free. There is an awful lot to like about this wheelchair cushion and it definitely has a place in my daily usage, though I doubt it will become my exclusive wheelchair cushion. I'm a paraplegic/double amputee and a very active wheelchair user who works full-time. I actually find the cushion does pretty well during my work day as I'm not moving around a lot, however, for days when I'm wheeling a lot I tend to require a bit more support than this offers. If your pressure relief needs are relatively modest and you really don't have issues with pressure sores/ulcers, this cushion provides terrific support at a fair price. I've read quite a bit of great things about the company backing up its product and that's always a great thing. While I do wish the cushion offered some sizing variations, the cushion works well with most standard wheelchairs and is a great place to start to see if a more basic wheelchair cushion will meet your needs. Most healthcare professionals will err on the side of the more expensive cushions, but for those seeking an affordable, effective option for basic cushion support this is definitely one of the better options I've tried. I'm still actively using mine and would easily purchase again.

Comfortable!
I'm using a wheelchair temporarily while recovering from surgery on my broken leg. I don't spend a lot of time in the chair at one time. This cushion has made a huge difference in my comfort while I'm sitting in the chair. It's fairly firm, with enough "give" to ease pressure. I even move it to my recliner seat when I feel the need for more comfort there, because that's where I spend most of my time. I don't know if this would be enough for someone who is wheelchair-bound, but it provides me with just enough support to be comfortable.

Very Comfortable
Very comfortable. My dad uses it on his couch now that he no longer needs to use the wheelchair. It makes it easier for him to get up as it adds more height. Much better than the regular one that was on his wheelchair in the nursing home.

Ever lasting comfort cushion not comfortable as it should be and it does slide.
I am using it for a wheelchair cushion. I had an amputation above my right knee in January 2018. I bought a wheelchair around Oct. 2018. I am now at home in Manchester CT. I have an Electra 7 wheelchair from Quivknmobile.Com.I got the cushion from Everlasting comfort and I put it over the cushion that I have On the wheelchair. I like the 3" height of it but there are a couple of flaws, one it slides when I sit back on it and It does not cover the battery tips where my leg goes over it. I have a bad back a muscle problm. It relieves some of the pressure from my back but my back sometimes aches and my leg hurts. It is fairly comfortable but it does not relieve too much back pain as I take medication for it. I had to figure out On how to get comfortable . My leg is aching right now.To sum it all up it is not the most comfortable cushion. Also my left leg presses on the top of the battery cover.Update July 30, 2019I just took the cushion off of my wheelchair as I noticed it gave me a secretary spread. It felt a little tighter as I sat on it. Now I am sitting in my original cushion that came with the wheelchair, a folded up blanket that fits across the seat or the wheelchair, a rug that fits across the state and covers the battery tips and a chair seat cushion. It feels a lot better and the wheelchair sides don't feel so tight. I am happy about it now.
