In Austria they are pressure treated as standard to ensure absolute freedom from pests. With the help of modern laser technology, we also ensure a consistent size of the hazelnut kernels and exclude any foreign contamination. The hazelnuts have a beautiful brown tone, are crunchy and have a strong nutty taste. Hazelnuts are suitable as a snack between meals, but can also be used for baking - chopped or grated.

Not as 'fresh' as expected
Was really looking forward to these. Unfortunately they don't taste as 'fresh' as expected. Leaning towards a slightly 'rancid' taste which is a shame as the date on the pack is ok until next year.
